I really like the color and grain on that one. Good job.

I don't see you posting as much in the "Knife Finds of the day".
Are you not out "finding" as much as you used to?
Thank you~~

Yup.....pretty much done hustling knives...ebay put in motion that all funds go through them first instead of directly to Paypal,
and then they hold it for 2 days and release ONLY to your bank account...

Well Scott, that stinks. I always enjoyed looking through your stuff for knives to buy.
Well, I really enjoyed the hunt, but it looks like they have just gotten too greedy.... not to mention the ever rising postal shipping rates ::skeptic:: .... it was fun but, I'm out! :x

Putting a nice slice in a good pair of jeans.
Fortunately it didn't go deep enough to catch flesh.
I was holding a CD in my left hand, Boker stockman with the sheeps foot blade out in my right. In my attempt to score this disk (rendering the sensitive data unobtainable), the knife carried easily down the side of the CD. Too easily, obviously, because it continued on through my jeans

Those jeans are now worth more, put a few more holes in the legs and you'll be in style! Folks pay big bucks for stuff like that. :)

So far nada, zip but I wait in high anticipation to possibly slit open an envelope when the mail gets here. It's why I carry $20 EDC's.

I carried the Sog Trident today. Cleaned up my daughters back yard. It is really good at whacking wisteria vines.

Using my Norland Hudson Bay Axe. Doing some yard work this afternoon using a "sharp object" (maybe not a knife but close enough), chopping down some brush around the yard.

Using my rope knife to clean up a horse skull I hope to make presentable and display as "yard-art". I boiled the skull for 20 minutes in a big 'ol pot of water. That seemed to help a lot, but it still needs a lot of cleaning. I have heard of leaving bones on an anthill and other techniques to get rid of the flesh and cartilage. Any tips out there on "the best way" to clean up one of these suckers?

I have known a few people who have used hydrogen peroxide to whiten a deer skull with good success. It should work on any bone.

I have tried the Hot Water Maceration and the Cold Water Maceration, the results have not been great, however I did not add any chemicals to the water. Hydrogen Peroxide might just be the trick! ::groove::
