This one came in yesterday's mail and as I mentioned in a couple of other posts, I like it a lot.

Today I add this pocket knife to my collection. It's a 2005, CASE XX, Orange County Choppers, 6207 mini trapper pocket knife. It came factory sealed in the tin. I took a few pictures and here it is.

Five of a kind is an unbeatable hand, Skip. Nice little OCC 07 collection you got there! Either the ones you already had are breeding in captivity or you must be trying to corner the market on that model--Congrats on the new addition to the family.

I picked this Mini Trapper clone up yesterday while out and about. One of our local tobacco outlets had a few knives on the counter. They all were the new John Primble China made in the blue box. I've never bought any of these before, but for $10 I figured what tha hey, might be one for EDC that I wouldn't mind if I happen to loose it. I picked this one because it had a little more reddish tone in the brown burnt bone. Snap was pretty sluggish, but after cleaning it out, it and lubing it with some tuff glide it snaps decent. Will carry it a bit and see how it does.

Nice snag, Smitty...especially for only a ten-spot. I like the color on yours more than the color on the one I had...which I sold because I didn't like the handle scales--too burnt, practically charred to the point of requiring dental records for positive identification..

Here's the one I had that I sold (amazingly, "initially" I actually made a small profit selling it on eBay...until I had to pay all the fees...after which, I either barely broke even or, more likely, lost a bit in the transaction. Such is the mercurial life of the hapless Mini-T Monkey!

Most of the others were about like yours Jerry but a little more dark in the center.

All too often, luck does seem to play a significant role in such things; so, it's nice when Fate sprinkles a little good luck on you every now and then.

I had a Queen #51T (with a Spay blade) in this handle material, but sold it (one of the many that I regret selling). So, when I saw this Queen #51 with Birdseye Maple wood handle, I couldn't resist. I actually prefer this version with the pen blade over the 51T with the spay blade.

I'm not not pushing his stuff, but I will say that that I've bought several knives from him, he's a member here and also tied in with blue grass knife, the makers of the S&M knives coming to market soon. He's gilbertcooper on ebay, most of his stuff is bin or best offer, shoot him a offer he will deal if you don't low ball him, generally ships free. I've not been on his site lately but he has knives in all price ranges from cheap to the ridiculous. IMHO,YMMV. ::handshake::

Same story here Biggy, one of the best guys on ebay to deal with, IMHO.
He also personally own Schatt & Morgan now, and is in the process of rebooting the company. Started a whole thread on said subject.
Last time I dealt with him, he gave me a DEAL on a whole passel of vintage Winchesters. Yup, shoot em' an offer, he's more then happy to work with a fellow knifer.

The tang stamp on this Primble Mini Trapper claims authentic USA manufacture. I believe it too because not only is the production quality much higher than my (charred) Pacific Rim made Primble, but I paid five times times as much for it. ::nod::

When I bought my China primbles, gilbert had the American make primble and Winchester knives for sale, and yes several times higher priced. ::handshake::
