Imperial easy open
So I failed to take before pics. But here is a 2 blade easy open made by Imperial. I cleaned it up buffed it a bit, sharpened the blades. Basically a spa day for this old timer. I think the handles are jigged bone. The one side seems to be flaking a bit but doesnt affect function imo. Did a quick tang stamp search and it's in a range from 1936 to 1952. Blades still have some walk and talk and not much wiggle left to right. I suspect a nice EDC at least.
I'm assuming because it's an imperial it isnt worth much?
Thinking of listing it in my store and debating if I should make up a belt pouch or sheath for it.

Re: Imperial easy open
I do like this pattern. The bone on these old ones was so nice. Your right...they don't bring a lot of money. I still think they are a great knife for EDC.
Here's what some have actually sold for. You can scroll through, to find some comparables.

I think that is an old Navy General Utilities knife from WW 2. They are great knives. I think I have 8 or so from various makers. Behind the Camillus 72 it is my favorite knife. Most of mine I gave $20 to $40 dollars for if that helps. Is that a patch on the handle? Congrats on a great knife.

It's not an patch heres a closer pic. Its like the bone is flaking off the white part a piece came off I think. I used a dremel and a small ball burr to re jig and then buffed it lightly. The color though is what it is...

Your doing great ,really appreciate your stuff, ,great job
. Think you mentioned sheath or slip for it, I like a simple lanyard with my EOs ,like this on my 4 line Camillus. But it’s home made with cord, could a person do something like this with leather, and braided or ? . This works for me and like to leave the cord sticking out of pocket a few inches. Something in leather would be cool for pocket carry.

Hey Wayne ,them EOs are a great pocket carry ,and agree they’re getting harder to find in bone. Have you shown any of yours anywhere? Would be great to see them! Are any of them a Sheepsfoot main by chance? Did anyone do that in a EO ? So I messed around some more with the laynyards. I think I like the 1/2 split ring solution the best. The double loop seems bulky bit stronger and the single loop I wonder how it will hold up long term. What do you folks think.

Hey Wayne ,thanks for getting back to us. Am curious about Sheepsfoot in a EO the frame may not allow it in some makes. It would be cool if your Son could help w/ pics, it took me a few , but my wife and some links here helped.
Take care ,stay safe.
