Working on my "knives from around the world" collection, I have a fun lockback from Villmarks in Norway, a beautiful Grohmann single-blade knife from Canada, a stylish Maserin from Italy (I already have a Wenoka, but couldn't resist this one), and a nice little pen knife from Turkey marked "Sürmene". I also got a really cool Jezzine figural knife from Lebanon, which I think is gorgeous, even if it is not very functional.

I now have knives from 39 different countries...working on a few more, but I'm starting to wonder how many more countries have actually make folding knives.
Some nice additions indeed. The one in the last picture is a rather unique looking build. ::tu::

Thanks! In some cases I have your standard patterns (I'm particular to a stockman), but I've also been lookin for something that is special, even artistic, to a particular country. Hence the Jezzine knife from Lebanon. The wings are brass (and pivot), the body is bone with inlays of stone and brass, the feet are brass (and also pivot in and out of the body). I'll never use it, of course, but it is just cool!

This arrived in my mailbox today. I got bombed from Jerryd6318. O.K. I did know it was coming because Jerry messaged me and asked for my address. But it does not lessen the impact of gratitude and appreciation I feel. This is what makes AAPK such a great place. The friendship and the camaraderie that we have here. And I feel fortunate and blessed to be a part of it.

Now I am proud to present the latest addition to my Camillus 72 Clone Family. An Ulster 63 Swell Center Whittler. Tight blades with no wobble and great snap. Blades are full, & still have some of the original luster. All I've done is is wipe it down with a Case soft leather chammie. Again, Thanks Jerry.

This arrived this morning, bought it from the AAPK members store at the end of August, 2 months, it has been a long journey. But it also showed me why we should be supporting the AAPK members store if we can. Nothing was too much trouble, answered any questions i had promptly and nothing was too much to inquire about, really good service. Was not expensive and included free postage within America. From what i have been able to gather, it has something to do with a Jim Sargent, who was involved with Case at some point in time. I could be wrong, but some of the Case experts will be able to set me straight. Made in Japan about 1980's, 440 stainless and the brown bone is to just simply gorgeous. It is just slightly larger than a GEC #33.

Congrats cudgee, that is a very good looking knife. Your right about the AAPK stores, I look almost every day at some part of the inventory to see if there is a knife I just can't do without. I prefer to buy from there, unless of course I'm in an antique store or flea market.

John, you're right, the Buck looks like a topo map! Pretty neat, probably provides a good grip. I like the color of the Buck but in some places it would be tough to find if it was dropped in the fall leaves. Now that SAK, it wouldn't be hard to find. :)

Great pick up David. I am on the lookout for a bone handled short line 16, but I don't really know if they made one. ::nod:: ::tu::
