Ken, I especially like the figural work on the top knife. Looks classy.

The purple spiny oyster trapper is a yellowhorse knife. Black onyx and white gold in center. I called Queen when they were still in business and sent them pictures and they confirmed it was a yellowhorse knife. David or Bryan Yellowhorse. Thank you for your kind comments. My daughters went in together and bought it for me on Father's Day several years ago. Not to be outdone my wife bought me the mammoth tooth queen a month later. They are both special to me!Quick Steel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 4:20 pm woodwalker, beautiful knives. I am intrigued by the lower one. Very unusual.

This thread should be re-named the,"Drool Dossier"
Here are two of my favorite,"barby cue" knives:a pearl handled liner lock by Jason Williams of Wyoming RI(his 14th knife made when he was 19 years old)and a non locking folder by Frank Carlisle of Detroit MI.I think it was one of his earliest knives.

K7K, You have two great knives there, just two more reasons I am so very pleased with this thread. All these magnificent knives tucked away among our members...what a treat to see and enjoy them. Great thanks to all who are and will be participating in this, the knife world's first barbecue.

Re: Do You Have A Barbecue Knife?
I thought I would post this one. This knife to me is one of those great mysteries of the knife world.A really beautiful pearl handled 4 blade senator with some incredible file work on the back springs and...............absolutely no tang stamp whatsoever! I find it hard to believe that some unknown artisan put all this time into this knife and then didn't sign it!

Re: Do You Have A Barbecue Knife?
Ohhhh am I dumb!
I thought this thread would be about steak knives & the like. For cutting or prepairing meat.
That's why I haven't stopped by here yet because I don't have any nice knives like that. Feel pretty stupid now.
It's happend before though.
Cool subject! Now that I know what it's about.
