Thank you for your observations woodwalker and Marco. And I like the brown coloring/patina on your Barlow, woodwalker. In fact, Marco, it was the green that first drew me to this when I bought it and again today. Thus you are right. It is sort of special.

Love that ACSB! Wish Bill Howard would use some on the GEC's.

Nice! I have an early Mini CQC-7 that I'm going to pay to have reworked. I bought it for something like $30, thought it was fake, stuck it in a drawer, and one day emailed Emerson, who confirmed it was real. It's really beat up. All the Phillips screws were stripped, and the blade was rough. Emerson charges a lot to redo knives, but I think I'll have something pretty decent once they're done.

Lovely composition there geo. David referred to the jigging as peach seed. Is that your understanding as well?

Remington (by Camillus) Stockman and a Czech-made Mikov Praktik model, which is a sort of take/copy on the Vic 111mm series, but with better ergonomics (contoured scales, while the Vic are flat), and less fragile steel liners. Somewhat worse blade steel, given it's simple 420SS. The lion is just foil stamped, so I had to use some clear Gorilla tape to protect it. At $18, it's considerably less than a Vic, but equal quality. And, not made in China.

Thanks, Ivoryman! Yes, I think the Lumberjack is Schrade but perhaps the stock knife is Camillus. I need confirmation on that, though.

Awesome carries everyone, and especially love you Schrades Iman, and your picture Geo. Mighty lovely folks
.
Going with the clasp/cattle, new/old combo. Surprisingly, the big ole boy hangs out in me pants pocket very well, other then when I play my acoustic guitars.
Ole Imperial is, just ole reliable

Like your equal end cattle knife, looks really old school. Could have that in my pocket everyday.WillyCamaro wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:55 pm Awesome carries everyone, and especially love you Schrades Iman, and your picture Geo. Mighty lovely folks.
