Re: Knife Photography
If dealers were to use photos like that in their ads, I'm certain they could sell Rough Ryders for 3-4 times the price and make huge profits.
That is just a beautiful photo; colors, composition, lighting, etc., it really works.
Nice job, joe.

Re: Knife Photography
I'm in full agreement. Not picking on smkw, however, their online pictures do not show the best picture quality of the knives they advertise for sell.
Visual merchandising is of utmost importance — if done with better visual quality, I feel that they may maximize, or even improve their sales.
Humans are visual beings and most of the information we consume and interpret is visual.
It's always important to know what you don't know.

Re: Knife Photography
joeradza and Dan, I agree. Sometimes in our AAPK stores I find the photos too dark to make a good judgment. I have passed on buying several times because of this.

Re: Knife Photography
I think your on to something Q...
You go into RR sales Joe, bet you'd do very well with photography skills such as yours. Or you know what would be even better...
Smoky should hire you on contract to photograph they're knives. Or maybe even RR itself, just a thought.
