CAMILLUS N.Y. U.S.A #902 POCKET KNIFE
I was going through some of my pocket knives that I had stored away and came across this CAMILLUS N.Y. U.S.A #902 POCKET KNIFE. I know it is not very old, but I can't find any information on it. Anyone know when these were produced? It looks like it is not made anymore. It is a nice little pocket knife, light, useful and most IMPORTANTLY, NOT made in China.

Your knife is listed in the Camillus catalogs as the Promaster 902B. The Promaster line was first introduced in 1988 and consisted of the Promaster 891, 892, and 893. The 1990 Camillus Catalog is the first one that I see a reference for the 902B. The last catalog that I have been able to reference is 2006 and it was listed in it. Maybe someone with a little more knowledge than I knows what the final year was.
If you have a chance to look, this website has some of the old Camillus catalogs listed.

From what I'm seeing, these sold decently, not only enough to garner a BSA equivalent; but a Chinese-made clone (from some unknown company, probably post-2008) of the BSA equvialent. I think yours is older, having scallops instead of the aggressive "Pirhana Edge" serrations that mine has.
This was the knife that finally put me off having to carry separate PE and SE bladed knives, or having to bother with combo edge knives. The offset lock releases are easy to use, and it's quite small and compact at just 3 1/4" closed. Whether my hands are wet or greasy doesn't matter--as the rubber inserts grip great.

#902 and #901 is the smallest knives from the Promaster series. The rest of the knives are comparable in size to the Buck 110 (5" closed).

Thanks for the wealth of information! It is always very impressive to see how much knowledge is out there when a question about a knife comes up, case in point!
