Great pictures John!
Wouldn't mind seeing England & Ireland myself some day. Who knows, when my kids are all grown up, I might be able to afford it.
Edit: And Scotland!

Here's the pocket knife I chose to accompany me in my travels around Ireland; a Case TB6139 Carhartt. I packed it in my checked bag, inside one of my hiking boots. It made the trip with no issues and has also been to Pensacola and Key West the same way.

Totin' it today for Throwback Thursday.
A year ago today we were in Waterford learning about John Strongbow and touring the Medieval Museum and Wine Storehouse.

Re: Traveling Across the Pond
A year ago today we kissed the Blarney Stone. An amazing climb up old stone stairs to the top, and quite a view.

Re: Traveling Across the Pond
From the first picture, this opening is were the Blarney Stone is located. So you have to hang upside down, assisted luckily, to kiss the stone.

I suspect it is only the Irish who can convince visitors to hang upside down and kiss a stone. Now that takes some blarney.

You may have been in violation of U.K. laws, which I understand prohibit carrying of knives having blades over 2-1/2 inches long.1967redrider wrote: βTue Sep 08, 2020 10:50 pm Here's the pocket knife I chose to accompany me in my travels around Ireland; a Case TB6139 Carhartt.

Re: Traveling Across the Pond
Last year, today, we started the day properly by having the best Irish coffees in Ireland at Red Fox Inn, drove the Ring of Kerry and stopped at a sheep farm for a herding dog and sheering show. Those Border Collies are smart and obedient breeds.
We also saw old famine village ruins and a Sika deer, finished the day back in Killarney.

Re: Traveling Across the Pond
A year ago, today, we started the day with a carriage ride and left Killarney for Limerick, stopping for lunch and some thatched roof touring in Adare. The green, green grass of Ireland and so many flowers everywhere. St. John's castle in Limerick is pretty picturesque and impressive.
