Who made this one?

This came in my package of poo from Stanwade. It was gummed up with a bit of surface rust in a couple of spots. Cleaned up and it seems to work very well. You press the little button on the mark side and it fires. Is this known as a true switch blade? Ryan mentioned it had been stored for 15 years just waiting to be cleaned. It seems to be well made but with no name on it only U.S.A. on the tang.

Anyone have any ideas about this "prize"?

Seems well made, a hair over 4". The handle/body is not made of metal.

Good clip on the pile side

Opened up, fires well!

Push button to fire the blade and also unlocks it to close.

The knurled part works as a safety lock.

I have one with that locking mechanism(that I had to take the knife apart to repair)that has similar markings but the handle is in the shape of an eagle. It says USA but I doubt that it was. Here is a pic.

Thanks for the opinions.
I suppose being marked U.S.A. made me a bit hopeful because it seems really solid. It may get to ride in my breast pocket of my bib overalls, like the others that open one handed.

Not real sure, but it kinda looks like an early Robbie Dalton knife. The only mark on some of his knives was a dog under a parachute with a sign on his side that said "FTW". In the backgroud were three jagged mountains. This etch was sometimes faint, so look carefully. He is still making switchblades and they might be able to help. If it is a Dalton, take good care of it. They have a pretty fair value.
