Weekend club meeting scores.
"New lamps for old"! Wasn't that how Aladdin's lamp went missing, or something?? Does anyone remember that story??
Anyway, I traded some newer knives for these four old beauties at my monthly club meeting.
From the top, a Crown over JHS&Co.
Then a Kingston, and two NYK Hammer Brands.

Not quite Seattle, Fran, but in the "burbs". A 30-40 minute drive depending on traffic. Surrey, B.C. about a dozen members. Not many for a citified area of over two million!

Nice haul Charlie!
I like the Kingston.
That clip blade looks a bit oversized. I have one in a slimmer frame that really accentuates the oversize blade.
Your Kingston looks like a keeper. That NYK cigar is pretty nice as well!

I am sure it's correct, Dale. Fits nicely in the knife. It is a big blade though. I haven't seen too many Kingstons. Do you know when this one might have been born??

Re: Weekend club meeting scores.
I am sure the blade is correct also. I have a couple that also have big clip blades. I will post them at the end of this post.
I am not sure of the date as there is no tang stamp. The etch without tang stamp seems like something that might be done during a transition period.........but much of Kingston seems to me to be transition.
Kingston was short lived, 1945-1947 according to Goin's, but Imperial Knife Associated Companies used the name at least until 1958.
I doubt that it is an Ulster Kingston because of the material in the handle. Ulster used the name from 1915 on.
My guess is that it is either a Kingston Cut. Co or one put out by IKAC post-war.
Now that I said all that' I did some looking in some files I saved from Larry’s Vickery’s site & I see that it was 1947 when the flyer below was printed. Looks like your knife.
Kingston seemed to like those bigger than life clip blades.
Below are a couple of mine.

Nice Kingstons Dale. Thanks for the pics.
I must say, I prefer a tang stamp. If my knife had been used a bit, we'd only be guessing on the brand!
