Re: wirejacks
Today I've added this GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle pocket knife to my collection. It came as a part of a NEAR MINT condition, VERY clean, Girl Scout utensil kit. Both the knife and fork are tang stamped, but the fork isn't stamped STAINLESS STEEL. If you're curious, the spoon is marked ALLEGHENY STAINLESS STEEL WB (over) W. I didn't have to clean any part of it. I took some pictures and here it is.

Re: wirejacks
Today I'm adding these four pocket knives to my collection. All four are GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle/wire frame pocket knives. One is a hawkbill pruner and it has a blade etch (CORONA). All four were part of a group that I purchased (last picture). The spoon is NOT an original for the utensil kit. It is a monogrammed baby spoon. All four knives, actually everything needed a good cleaning. I cleaned what I could, took some pictures and here are the knives.

Re: wirejacks
Today I'm adding these four pocket knives to my collection. Unlike the four wire handle/wire frame pocket knives I posted yesterday (previous post), these four pocket knives are the "big" boys. All four are GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle/wire frame pocket knives. Two of the knives have fish scalers on the spine and one knife doesn't have the "notches" in the handle/frame. All four knives needed some degree of cleaning. I cleaned what I could, took some pictures and here are the knives.
It's been awhile since my last group picture, the group has grown. An up-to-date group picture will be posted soon.

Group pictures time. These are all the wire handle/wire frame pocket knives that I've collected (so far). Included are the eight most recent wire handle/wire frame pocket knives that I've acquired and that I've posted the last couple of days (my two previous posts).

Magnificent group Skip. I pale in comparison. Someone could end up with a near complete pattern collection if they had these.

Re: wirejacks
Today I'm adding this pocket knife to my collection. It is ONE of my HOLY GRAIL knives. It's a GEO. SCHRADE, single blade, hawkbill, wire frame/handle pocket knife. It has a COPPER BLADE. Why a COPPER BLADE? Here is what Mr. Bill Schrade has to say about it.
***** A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU goes out to joeradza for selling me this particular knife. THANK YOU!
*****
I gave the handles a little cleaning, took a few pictures and here it is.bill schrade wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 4:10 pm Hi guys,
FYI those copper blades were made of Beryllium Copper. It was also used to make the springs in automatic knives. Beryllium dust is a known carcinogen and causes damage to lungs, liver and kidneys. It's safe in solid state. Blades of Beryllium Copper and Brass were used in the blasting field as they didn't spark causing an accidental explosion.
