SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Frankly Ryan, I am a sucker for most all dogs and cats. I am putty in their hands...er, I mean paws. But I am truly captivated by your Layla. She is simply an extraordinarily beautiful creature. Prayers of course. Do let us know the outcome when possible.

I've petted people's dog's that have said I'm the only person besides them that they've let do that..I believe they can sense animal lovers..jmho...

Same thing with me. People have told me that they couldn't believe their dog came to me and let me pet it. Kids and dogs!

It is a well known fact that animals are very perceptive at sensing people, all the little signs that we send out. An old farmer once told me animals are the best judges of people. Especially dogs, a dog can sense a good person immediately, they can also sense a bad person from a distance.

All is well.. Layla is on the couch recovering.. she's out like a light!! I just have to take her back in a week to get her Staples out and then in a month for another set of X-rays just to make sure that small spot on her lung is not growing... But the vet said she's not concerned about it at all , so that's good news... Thank you all for your prayers again!!!!!

Ryan, glad to know she is home and doing well. ::tu:: She will probably be a little tired for a day or so until the after-effects of anesthesia wear off.

Cudgee, I’ve read dogs can smell and interpret the pheromones given off by human emotions. I think other animals can somehow sense (or smell) different human emotions. Pretty sure horses can also. With my dogs when someone or something comes around it’s bark first, ask questions later. And they rarely growl, but when they do you know something more nefarious is afoot (like a coyote). ::nod::

You are 100% correct. I used to work with horses, and they certainly do, and what you say about dogs is correct also. I have seen cattle not have a problem going right up to some people but not others. But dogs and horse are very good judges of people in my opinion and i have spent a fair chunk of my life around them.
