Double Pulls on a Single Blade?

There are a couple not vintage/antique/"collectable" moose, and two blade slipjoint folding hunters I like, with one deal murdering feature:
Double pulls on each blade. I hate and/or loathe the look.

Is something like "Liquid Steel", JB WELD, or some other epoxy based product suitable to eliminate the "extra" pull?
If the blades are not polished, how well does "liquid steel" blend in?
Would I be better off to super glue (or use another epoxy glue of some sort) a sliver of steel in the unwanted pulls?

I no longer have access to the tools and materials to properly silver solder a sliver of steel into the unwanted pulls.

Personally, I don't think there is anything, that could fill it in and look good. Not even solder...which would probably destroy the temper of your blade, from the heat. My advice would be to "grow to love it"...or use it as an excuse to get a knife that you can really love. JMHO

I agree. I used silver solder to repair a gouge near the tang of a knife, and a tiny patch stands out like a spotlight.

I know I would never own a knife that I would say I hate or loathe. Get rid of it and get something you like. There has to be thousands of knife styles and handle materials. Got to be something out there just for your taste.

I fully agree it would be stupid/foolish at a minimum to buy or keep a knife one doesn't like.
I haven't purchased one of the moose or two blade slipjoint folding hunters with double pulls on the blades.
Unless there is a way to eliminate the extra pull, I won't be getting one or more of them.

If you're interested in a 2 blade, moose pattern...type "moose" in that search block, on the upper right "Search the AAPK Stores" feature. There are quite a few nice ones to look at. I've bought knives off AAPK and Ebay. I've never got a bad knife, from the AAPK store. The sellers here are pretty knowledgeable. I wish I could say the same, for some of my Ebay purchases.

I’ve seen a lot of moose and two-blade folding hunters, by many different makers. I don’t recall ever seeing a moose blade having double pulls, and can only recall seeing a few folding hunters with double pulls. In fact I have an old large coke bottle folding hunter that has double pulls. So I’m not saying such an animal doesn’t exist, just that I think you’ll have no problems whatsoever finding a knife having no double pull blades.

Not sure why you’re concerned about it. Do you have a picture of the knife you “hate/loathe”? I kinda like double pulls myself but those I’ve seen were on older knives. I’d like to see a newer one - I might want it!

Welding is the only thing that could be used to eliminate the pull-and even it would probably show.

I carry Buck 110’s a lot. The one thing about them I dislike is the nail notch, it is totally unesesary and collects crud. I used JB WELD to fill one in, and it has stayed there for several years now so it works for my purpose, but it definitely shows.

JB Weld is just epoxy with metal dust.
