Did a little trading with a buddy in Texas. Here’s a 50’s 3 1/2” black bone Eye Brand, straight line stamp marked on all the blades, It’s been used some but in extra good shape. Here it is and here’s a pic of it with its 4” big brother.
Some how the pics got out of order. There’s front and back of the new knife and then the duo.

Loose Arrow, that is a beauty, love the red bone handles. Matthew is a good man to deal with.
Wade, a very sweet Eye Brand.
This Yello-Jaket with Bee shield showed up today. TFL graciously allowed me to claim it out of the bay. A couple of spots on the blades but very clean. Thanks for looking. I'll post more pics over in the 72 clone section.

I wasn't sure where to put it Jerry. I decided on clones (or variation) as it did not have 72 stamped on it anywhere.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I got two packages today, one from Ripster from the frozen tundra of WI and the other from Katy, Texas.
JP and I traded a few and here is what came in the mail today: The other package left Katy, TX and made two round trips to Pensacola before it landed at Starvation Plantation. This #11 ended up having a short blade tip that stood a bit proud and was real lazy. I ground the kick and lubed the joint and it came to life: Treefarmer

In my mail today...
I came across this and bought it without knowing anything about it.
Looks like it was in the mail for a long time though. The clue is with the 7 cent Andrew Jackson postage stamp, 1938.

LA, What strikes me is how nicely the tool is presented. The case looks like leather; appears well made.

Me too, looks like it's never even been removed from its shipping box much less its holster.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 11:02 pm LA, What strikes me is how nicely the tool is presented. The case looks like leather; appears well made.
The pouch is of a man-made material.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Nice set. Not only is it complete, it's unused, and even has the original dated shipping carton! I see a bunch of different mining-related ad knives around here. In fact, it's what I focus on. I think Granddad may have one for Penn Machine--most of his are for Curtis bearings, however. Eccles, WV isn't that far off from here. They really knew how to do exchangeable blade knives back then. Most made today (aside from the Buck Selector 2.0) seem to be hard to change, or the receptacle likes to attract dirt easily (the Outdoor Edge knvies are bad for that). My Leatherman Surge is about as close to an exchangeable blade multitool as you can get today, and it is fiddly trying to change between the wood saw, metal file, and the various T-shank jigsaw blades it can accept. To the point that a few years later with the Surge after mine was made, they redesigned the receptacle for those tools.
