Looks like some old Elephant tusk on that Wostenholm. Good score, got it past the ivory gestapo too. Even better.

Ya really think so? ::shrug:: I never ever considered that. ::hmm:: My thought was, "This must be some expensive plastic because it's pretty nice stuff." LOL! Could I send you a PM with more pictures of it in the next couple of days so that you can give it a closer look? I would appreciate it if someone more experienced than myself looked at it closer. ::shrug:: Although it may really just be plastic. It has fine straight lines in it or maybe they were on top of the scales. Who knows? Interested in looking at it for me? ::shrug::

Very nice finds Tom. The last one you were asking about, the Stamping almost kinda sorta nearly looks like the Massey Ferguson logo.

Snagged this Robeson stockman up a few weeks back. Always wanted one like this, but when I'd see one on Fleebay, the condition would make me pass. Any idea of when this one was made?

ELDER MFG. CO

ST. LOUIS

U.S.A.

This is my first and only ever stamped St. Louis. Couldn't find much info when I looked it up but I liked the bones and the blades looked full and factory edge. Great snap and action. Paid a pittance and feel like I robbed the seller. No idea the age.

This came in the mail this morning. Another addition to my Mini Trapper Collection. 1993 Case XX 6207 SP SSP. I didn't have this year tang stamp or color bone in my collection. Not sure what the color is called but I love the jig and reddish tones of the bone.

Great looking knives, fellers!
Pappa Bones, I've got a '91 model of the 6207 that a friend used up most all the "goody" in the clip blade and the jigging is worn smooth almost like a "Pocket Worn". The length is still there but it looks like a needle. ::uc::
I found Queen #27 Barlow (sheep foot) in the mailbox this afternoon. This one has the aluminium frame, sealed back and the two pin handles, so light in weight, makes one question if they are as tough as the steel framed Queen Barlows?
Light weight sheep foot/pen, has the patent number in place of the tang stamp.

Nice find Treefarmer. I always liked the look of those, the bolster always looks beefier than most barlows. That's a beauty.

David! ::woot:: just send me the #52 with the Winterbottom bone! What is the length of the Queen stockman with the brown bone? I can't see the tang stamp in the picture but I bet she is an older ol' gal, too.
Those two are great! Hey and not to slight the strait razor tell it hello for me.

I got a few new (to me) ones in. These 2 are courtesy of our Hawaiian brother Q. The first is this excellent Viper wharncliff. I didn't own any of this brand. To be honest, when I first saw them, and being a traditionalist, I was a bit turned off by the screw construction. However, now that I have one in hand, it looks like one FINELY made knife, I am quite impressed and really liking it!
viper.jpg

This other one also checks all the boxes for me. A Ford & Medley Sheffield, in Q's favorite material to collect. I am really tickled to own it!

Thank you Philip and Floyd. ::handshake:: Philip the Stockman is 4" long. There is no tang stamp. According to the Queen Cutlery historical web site the etch on the blade indicates a 46-48 time frame. That Moose is a good one and I'm liking it very much.
