Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I like that the pattern number on the 35 begins with "A" (to denote Appaloosa). I don't know why, but not all Case knives with Appaloosa bone handles had it. When details matter, that's a nice touch.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Good evening everyone. I finally picked up a Case I've been wanting for a while now. What makes it cool, it's a five dot, and if my crude knowledge of Case stamps and era of them, it's a 6392 made in 1975. It's not mint, but it's clean. From how this knife looks, I can imagine someone giving this knife to their dad or grandpa in '75, or '76, and it was put away in a drawer. Anyhow, I'm stoked. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I received this yesterday from our own Knifeaholic aka Steve Pfeiffer. A Case XX 2229-1/2 , a 2-1/2" Swell End Jack better known as a Tadpole. I've been looking for one for a while but never could find one that wasn't either worn out or I would have to get a loan to afford. Steve had this one and let me have it at a great price. The pictures show it just as I received it. The only thing I have done was soak it in mineral oil overnight, wipe it down, and wipe inside the blade wells. This little Tadpole has awesome snap on both blades. I am really stoked to add this to my Case collection.
