Westerns for trade for Aerials or sale

Post by Ripster »

Have these 3 Westerns want to move onto another home ,looking to trade for Aerials, Jaeger bro’s , Olsen cutlery or any related ads or ?If you want to buy out right can get you better pics and tang info. All 3 are in very good shape w/ sheaths, that I believe to be original. Thank you. Also added some other fixed blades , same scenario as the Westerns

Terry ,just got back home. Here’s a few hopefully better pics. The w66,65.00 have sheath here somewhere for it . TheH40 65.00 . The small 628 55.00. And you are Correct ,no Boulder Colorado on tang stamp. Don’t believe they’ve ever been sharpened.bought them from a friend a few years ago, and neither one of us put a edge on them or used them. Thanks for your time and hope this helps. If you ever run across any Aerials ,am looking, have a good evening

The W66 and H40 are "H" date coded, so 1984. The 628 is from 1985, "I" coded.

There are very few "WESTERN" only stamps. A very few from before 1931 and an even fewer number of G46-8s in 1943 that had the patent number stamped into the pommel.

If the stamp is simply WESTERN over USA, 99.999% of the time the model number is stamped into the guard. These knives were made between 1973 and 1976.

Thank you for the info. It amazes me how much you know here about the history of Cutlery. Have a good weekend and be safe.
