Schrade Walden push button knife?
I have a friend that ask me about a Schrade Walden 2 blade senator knife 2 7/8 in length with what looks like to be pearl handles. Can anyone give me some info on it or what it may be worth?

Do you have a mdoel number; they are sometimes found on the tang of one of the blades but not always.
My name is George

I will try to get a picture. It don't have a number other than a patten number. It is a used knife but the blades are full and look to be unsharpened, they have turned color but no pitts or rust.

Sorry, I ment patent number. I looked in the 14th edition Offical Price Guide to Collector Knives on page 398 it looks like the top knife but without the file but a regular blade. I will try to get a picture tomorrow of the knife.

Most MINT 2 7/8" Schrade Walden doubles with celluloid handles are worth around $425 to $450. So the value of your knife depends on the condition. The oldest ones have the tang stamp "SCHRADE" over "WALDEN" over "NY" which was used between 1946 to around 1950. The later models have "SCHRADE" over "WALDEN" over "NY, USA"martys wrote:Sorry, I ment patent number. If you get a picture of it you might post it in the Knife Lore Forum.
Rich Langston posts in that forum and he has written the book; The Collectors Guide to Switch Blade Knives.
He has been collecting Schrade switchblades for 50 years and grew up around the Schrade factory. He even worked for them before they went out of business.
It is nice to have someone with his credentials here. We save several experts in various areas of knife collecting here on AAPK.
