Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. If there the new Factory Buck 110 & 112 shouldn't be a problem there backed by Buck . I like the 2 I got

I've been carrying a 112 auto for about 2 months now and am very happy with it.I was using it to cut up some very thick rubberized coating using in commercial grade roofing for use as pads for a couple of my drafting tables(I do a lot of pounce patterns with a toothed wheel on them)and after making three of them the edge showed no signs of dullness or damage whatsoever.The knife was given to me as a gift by an old friend who has several and swears by them.

The Buck 110/112 autos are identical to their manual versions, save for the method of opening. The Auto Elite versions have nickel silver bolsters and CPM-S30V blades. There's no other differences. I have a 50th Anniversary manual that has a round-button, leaf spring conversion. I also have a Factory 110 Auto and a Factory 110 Auto Elite. I love all three.
