Camillus 72 Clones

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

This morning, these three knives join my CAMILLUS 72 variation family. First one is a POWR-KRAFT (not stamped 84-11 on tang), 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. The second one is an ULSTER 63 (shield missing), 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. Third up (the next post below), is an "unbranded", 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. The only clue to this one is the shield. I DO NOT care what the country of origin is for this knife. None of these needed any cleaning. I took some pictures and here are the knives.

Continued from the post above this one. This is an "unbranded", 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. I do believe I have figured out what the shield on this knife portrays, it's a "Deer Head." I only had a dim light lit and I saw the shield at an angle. There it was, the image magically appeared and showed itself to me. I tried to capture it with the camera. I think I got it. It's the very last picture.

Skip that Powercraft with the milled liners is awesome and the deer head is unique and interesting as well. Glad you got them. ::nod:: ::handshake::

I ran across this OlsonOk on ebay but it was listed a 2 1/2 inches. It was about to expire so I made and offer and the buyer accepted and even knocked a little more off to make it an even $20 shipped. To my delight my gamble paid off as it is indeed 3 5/8 (9/16) and one I had been looking for. So I am elated. It is well used but that just means that I got somebody's EDC. Needs some clean up but could not be more pleased.

I got my Olsen OK back in early '14 through the generosity of Dave (dcgm4).

I am just a little curious.
Do you have all of the 72 clones?
OR... is there maybe one or two that have alluded you, oh great one?

There are 2 or 4 that I'm aware of but have never seen for sale. I have pictures around here someplace but I can't find them. I can picture the folder in my cranial cavity but not where it is and of course asking me to name them is an exercise in futility. ::facepalm::
