For Sale Case Stockman with 154-CM Blades

Post by Sharpnshinyknives »

This Case stockman knife is very unique. It has 3 backsprings that are mirror polished on the outside. The blades are made of 154-CM, which is comparable to the stainless they use on the Tony Bose Collaboration knives. The handles are a very pretty red and black Barnboard jigged bone. This came w/ a collector’s tin and leather pocket pouch, which is included. I bought this knife new in 2007 and never used it or resharpened it. It’s in mint condition. I have this one going up for auction tonight on Ebay, but thought I would let the Case Collectors here have first crack at it. It’s hard to know what the fair price to ask is, since there are no comparables. The closest comparables I can find are the TB collaboration stockman’s at 500 or more.
I can’t remember how many of these were made in 2007 but it wasn’t a lot.
200, shipped lower 48 states. As always it can be returned if dissatisfied.
PM if interested.

When I was collecting Cases, I always liked the feel of the barnboard covers. And that is a very attractive knife Mark.

Is it unusual for a Stockman to have 3 back springs?

MIke, it is unusual. Most are made w/ 2. This 3 spring design makes this thicker than a regular stockman. Fits better in hand.

Thanks Mike, hated to see that one go. I’ve had better success selling these Case knives than I expected. Glad to see these going to good homes.

That's really good to hear Mark. I guess buyers are in the market for case knives again, who knows. Glad it went to a good home ::tu:: .
