The passing of a friend

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

The passing of a friend

Post by dlr110 »

At 5:15 this morning I lost a very good friend to respiratory failure brought on by Covid-19.
Mike North was a friend, a family man and a Godly leader at our church and he will be
greatly missed by all that knew him. Please remember his wife Beverly North and the family
in your prayers today.

Father, bless Beverly and all who knew Mike with the comfort only Your peace can bring. Cover them with the shadow of Your wing that their mourning may be short. All for Your glory, in Jesus's name. Amen.
Take care and God bless,

The funeral is set for this Wednesday at 11:00 AM. I will be there no matter how I'm feeling.
This loss of my dear friend and the cause is hitting a lot of people in our small community
really hard. I know in my heart that all things are in God's perfect timing, but it still hurts.
Why did this awful virus take Mike and not me? We were both in our late 60's and almost the
same health problems. I won't know the answer to that question until we are all gathered
around the thrown with our Savior, but then we'll all have a place at the table and a glorious
victory to celebrate.

I'm taking some time off from all of my activities including you wonderful folks here on AAPK.
Our community is trying to cope and pull together over this and many other illnesses in our
church and local community. Cheryl, my one and only wife of 48 years come August, and my
family need my full attention and I need them. There have been a lot of things happen in the
past 6 months, this with Mike, my 3 trips to the hospital and 2 more surgeries that have to be
scheduled. There was my brother who was so sick and is not out of the woods yet. My mother
who's health continues to grow worse and my mother in law whose lung cancer continues to linger.
There are some priorities I need to set straight that should have been done a long time ago, and I
think now is the right time.

I not whining about it all, this is life and it happens to all of us. What's important is how you
accept it and how you take someone else's hand and help them through the pain and hard times.
We will all take each other's hand and let the hands and feet of our Lord lead and guide us all
through these times of trial, and we will all gather on the other side.

Praise, Honor and Glory be to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Blessings to all of you crazy wonderful
folks here and around the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and friendships.

David.....
Your friends here on AAPK love you and we will continue to pray that God will help you and your family sort things out and get back to the Lord's work.
.
Heavenly Father,
Please give David the strength and knowledge for the work ahead of him in his community.
We know there is a lot of confusion and hurt going on in David's Church and in his community. Father, we ask for your healing hand to continue to work in the lives of the friends and Family of David. We know you love him and everyone in that community. Please give them the comfort they need and the strength to push forward toward the mark. Thank you for your Grace Heavenly Father and thank you so much for your Love that passes all understanding. We know that when You are with us Holy Father, that nothing and no one can prevail against us.
Thank you Father for your Word. May your will be done.

In Jesus name.
