Sod Buster Jr.

Post by 4ever3 »

Heres the latest Sod Buster Jr. to come out of the shed, this one got a matching knife pick too. Scales are burled Maple. Hope you like it.

And file work on the inside, I'm no longer crazy about file work on the out side, so I moved it to the inside

Wow, THAT sir, is one amazing little blade. Your filework is, as always, exceptional. I'd never have thought to do just the underside of the spring, but now that I think about it, that's a really subtle way to glitz up a knife. ::tu:: ::tu::

Your right though, I've been a bit lazy. I do have one to post, I finished up a companion to my Ivory GEC barlow. I'll snap some pictures of it. I've got a really big project on the way too :)

Thanks to your tutorial I got through step 1; disassembling my sodbuster. Now it's on to step 2; rebuilding it
For my first attempt I'll probably use the original brass liners. I tend to move very slowly but will certainly post when finished.
