Jerry, that is a fine lookin' little knife!
I've an old one that belonged to my Dad, Elvis replaced the worn out blades years ago but it's too little for me to even use for a Sunday knife.

Yeah Steve. That and the Wharncliffe blade sold me on it immediately.

Speaking of Barnboard...
I love the Antique Barnboard and this Mini Trapper is also somewhat unique because of the "Saturn" shield (which also happens to be brass)...really don't see that too often. I wish it had a Wharncliffe blade too.

Aww, you got the one from the Mint Set with the embellished bolsters. Mine is just the plain bolster one of the Limited Edition. It makes me smile anyway.

Beautiful Knives John!!JohnR wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 9:35 pm Picked up 2 more nice ones, another one arm Barlow and a 31 SAB slick black XX era. Both are close to mint, love the size and saber clip blade on the 31. One thing I noticed on the 31 is how half the detail on the shield is buffed away, that got me curious so I started looking at pictures of other slick black knives and a lot of them show varying degrees of this on the shields. I guess Case polished these knives after final assembly.
Man....the more I see the Antique Barn Board & Burnt Barn Board, the more I like it. Very nice Q. I'm like you, I don't usually pick up many with embellished bolsters. But sometimes, if the price is right, and it just strikes you in the right way, you just can't pass it up. Case in point (pun intendedQTCut5 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 14, 2020 3:26 pm Speaking of Barnboard...

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Some beautiful knives being shown around here!
I especially like that 6233 of yours Jerry!
It's awesome!
I picked up this near mint 2017 Slimline Trapper at a reasonable price back in June but it just showed up this week.
Although these puppys are larger knives than I normally prefer for carrying, it's a fine additon to my small collection of Case knives.
Thanks for looking!

Very nice Tom! I like a slimline trapper! Great for slicing tomatoes, cucumbers and any other fruits and veggies. I got a 1970 ten dot I like very much. Yours is a beauty! Enjoy! I think you will like it. Keep after them.TPK wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 8:08 am Some beautiful knives being shown around here!I especially like that 6233 of yours Jerry!

You got that right, this one is the best green bone I have in the collection as of now, they do not seem to be as common as the redbone.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
As I posted in the Bombs thread, I just recieved this 1980 A6235 1/2 #35 pattern Jack knife from John (1967redrider). I've never held one of these puppys before this one but I REALLY like it! The length is perfect for a main EDC IMO.
The main blade is pretty stout & it's altogether a bit beefier than most of the knives I have & that makes it feel like a real "Man's Knife"
The scales are gorgeous but my pictures don't seem to show just how nice they truely are. I'm very happy & thankful to own such a beautiful piece of cutlery!
I would Love to have some more of these 35's.
This is now one of my favorit knife patterns!
Thanks John! &
Thanks for looking!
