Post by dcgm4 »

Hi. I have several knives to trade. I am interested in antique New Jersey and Virginia stamped knives, but I will consider other trades. Below are some descriptions and pictures of the knives I have to trade. If you're interested or want more pics send me a PM. Thanks!

1. Hen and Rooster Whittler. Marble Celluloid handles with a mustang shield and "Little Mustang" blade etch. Mint. No box. 3 1/2" closed. GONE

2. Rodgers Cutlers to His Majesty Quill knife. Stag handles with a crack at the end pin on the back. The blade sits a tad high as well. c. 1900. 2 7/8" closed.

3. Case Toothpick. Red bone handles and damascus blade. Mint w/ box. 4 1/4" closed.

4. Case Classic 6340 Stockman. Year 1997. It has smooth bone pale yellow handles and a blade etch. Mint w/ box. 4 3/8" closed.

5. Case Tested Lobster. Yellow celluloid handles, no cracks or chips but a small scratch on the front, one blade and a manicure blade. It has some patina on the blades and some sharpening. c. 1920-1940. 2 1/4" closed.

6. Case Hobo. Indian Paintbrush handles. Has a knife, fork, and spoon. There is a Hobo etch on the blade. Mint w/ box. 4 1/8" closed.

7. Salem Cut Co Jack. Brown bone handles, no cracks or chips. Blades have patina and have been sharpened some. Age unknown. 3 1/4" closed. GONE

8. J. A. Henckels Germany Corn knife. Yellow synthetic handles that have a chip on the back corner near the blade. Tang stamp is worn but readable. 3 1/4" closed.

How about that HEr and Rooster Whittler? What are you looking to trade for it?

It does not cost any more to carry a sharp knife than it does to carry a dull knife

Here are three more knives that I'm posting for sale or trade. These are reproductions of some old knife brands. The whittler and trapper I believe were made for Parker KCS. I don't know about the other one. I'm interested in trading for antique New Jersey or Virginia manufactured knives such as A. F. Bannister & Co, American Ace, Carhulco, Bryford, J. T. Mount & Co, O. S. T. Cutlery Co, Norfolk Knife Co, Kinson Cutlery Co, etc. PM me if you're interested.

1. Stamped "I*XL George Wostenholm Sheffield England" and "Stainless Steel" on the back of the tang. It has bone handles and is in mint condition. Measures 4" closed. GONE

2. Stamped "Jack Knife Ben Chicago" on the clip blade and "Union Stock Yards" on the spey. Has bone handles. It is in near mint condition. The blades have a few small spots and very light scratches. There is also a pin crack by the bolster on the back handle. 3 7/8" closed.

3. Stamped "Hibbard Spencer-Bartlett and Co." Has pre-ban ivory handles. Mint condition. 3 7/8" closed. GONE

Just an update. The Hibbard ivory whittler and Hen & Rooster have been traded away and are no longer available. All of the other knives are still available.

Again I'm looking to trade for old antique knives, particularly ones made by New Jersey or Virginia manufacturers, but I will consider other trades so feel free to make an offer. Thanks!
