cleaning old knives
http://cgi.ebay.com/original-1919-1942- ... dZViewItem I liked this quote: Comments: A really nice old Winchester...unfortunately, while cleaning the joints, I ended up completely removing the tang stamping (the strong solvent I used didn't help none!). Some people in their ignorance do more damage to a knife, than actually helping it.

I don't know. He said the tang stamp, but may not know one from the other. That must be some damn strong solvent.
