bighomer the Stockman knives in your last two posts sure do "Please" the eyes! And that Big Boy in your last post immediately brings the thought ::hmm:: of an animal to mind. A Rhino! ::woot:: You could post that one in Skip's Zoo. ::nod:: Just say it's a Rhino. Noboby is gonna argue with ya! ::super_happy:: Oh, & that Buck is also very fine looking! ::tu:: :D

Nice looking Schrade Geo! ::tu:: ::super_happy::

I carried these two several Fridays ago but the theme of the week called for an encore. Lennie and George again!

Case 7220 Curly Maple Peanut; stainless. I mostly just carry this one around the house, since it's from 1988 (one-dot, 1980s tang stamp); and still has the box (and only reason it's carried is that the main blade tip is bent; I guess someone used it a little bit, bent the tip, and stuck it back; thus it's not mint). Next time I go to Tractor Supply, I'm picking up a carbon steel/Yellow Delrin version that will definitely see more use, since it's the least collectible and least expensive version and I like the modified 1085 that is "CV" better than the 420HC? that is Tru-Sharp (which never performs like Buck's 420HC). I love the Case version since it has half-stops on both the blades.

Nice ones!

I've still been trying to justify the cost of the Ram Foot over a traditional English-made Lambsfoot, as they've been doing them for centuries, and are half the price. And besides, I've got a Taylor's Eye Witness Lambsfoot, aside from having a very soft stainless steel, is still doing me pretty well.

3318HE again today.
Jersey corn is in!!! ::ds:: ::ds:: ::groove::
Had to cut off some of the stalks, soak in a cooler, then on the grill to steam in the husk. Using chunks of oak on the coals; that'll permeate the husks and get some smoke flavor without drying out and/or burning the corn.
Chicken and brats on the side.

Could have sworn there was a post from some guy with the same name as yours in another thread about using pocket knives today where he said he doesn't use them on his food. Did you use them on that corn? Looks delicious and a great fitting use for that Case. Things taste better off a carbon steel blade.  ::super_happy:: ::woot:: :-P

Nice pics!

For the record, where I made the cut on the corn was on the stalk, leaving enough to keep the husk in place. After cooking, and before eating, of course, the husk and remaining stalk is removed. I never ate any part of the corn that came in contact with the blade ::poke::

Soap and water clean up for normal use, 99% isopropyl dip and wipe down for everything else. Haven't spread any serious disease that way yet, or tainted the food. At least no one has complained. ::super_happy::

It doesn't look like it's in the cards to do this for an entire second week, but I figure I'll keep the theme up for a little bit until I run out of pairs I like.

VIntage bone. Knives carry a "V" prefix on the model numbers. I suspect this was Case's attempt to approximate Winterbottom.

Oh! It’s a Vaughan. My mom always carried it on her keychain and when she died I started wearing it on one of my EDC chains.
