I'm thinking the top lockback is a KABAR and their looks to be a NY company brown bone towards the bottom (1st picture)??. These are fun cause you never know what your getting till it shows up in the mail

Well this is not a bid but a search for information for myself. You can guess value, Brand, age whoever I feel provided the best information will be rewarded a couple of knives of marginal value. Im not a wealthy man but I think this will be fun.

Well I like guessing games. So I am guessing that the brown one toward the bottom is Winchester, therefore I will say that the whole bunch is worth 65.00. Again this is a guess, be cause I dont know much about vintage knives. Thanks for the fun!!

i going to guess the one from the left bottom-above the gold colored one-below the little wood handled lock back

is a Robeson and the most valuable in the bunch--very nice looking handles as long as the back is nice as well and it doesnt look short-hope it not sharpened to death.. ::tu::looks like you got a automatic on the top the gray one..

that old schrade barlow in the second pic is a eyecatcher to..
the fish tail one on the left could come in there on the price though

I'll take a shot at guessing what a few of them are.

1.Just left of center- Schrade Jack with shield and broken scale

2.Center with blue handle and bail- Camillus Cub Scout knife

3.Just left and below the Cub Scout knife- Buck Prince (small brown handled lockback)

4.Top right- possiably a Colonial scout knife

5.Near top, black handle with bail- Camillus electricians knife

I am new at this and I can not make a guess but I think it would be great to get a box of knives to clean and repair. To be able to hunt and determine values. It looks like fun. Thanks for posting...

top lockback is a khyber
middle lockback (the big one with a sticker on it) is a kabar fishermans knife
the trapper with the broken scale to the left of the kabar is a camillus
the smallest lockback is a schrade looks like an LB3
the two pearl handled knives on the bottom left look to be of german manufacture
melon tester is a sabre
I see about 1/2 dozen imperial/hammer/colonial shell handled knives
camp knife on the upper right looks like a camillus
the fancy celluloid knife on the lower right is a kutmaster
the metal handled stockman just above it looks like it could possibly be a remington
the electricians knife looks like a camillus
as does the other camp knife in the middle of the photo

At only $5 a peice (worth that for parts providing some of those blades are good) you're looking at around $150. I guess you paid considerably less than that though

I am more certain on the lower grade stuff beucase I see tons of it when I by knives in lots at auctions and flea markets.

I could almost get the second picture. You have two Imperials, one being a Diamond Edge...a Schrade...that's easy cause it says that. I don't know much about the white barlow though.

My favorite one in the bunch is the dark Imperial in the picture of four.


The chrismas tree one looks nice too.

in the second picture the white barlow is definetly a colonial,the de is an imperial,the schrade is well,duh?? and the 4the black knife is an imperial as well. the schrade if bone is the most valued out of those 4.

in top picture the melon tester is definetly a sabre.ill even go further and give you its model number its model number 8. it will be on the front tang stamp.it will have the sabre tang stamp maybe something else like stainless steel and the definetly the number 8. when you get the knife even if i dont win le m eknow if its an 8. sabre doesnt lmake that nice of a knife but i know their model numbers well.

also theirs a camillus tl-29 in their.
the golden fancy on top right might be wester bros.
i cant name them all but i see a bunch of imperial and colonials and maybe some marker hammer brand but imperail hammers all with shell covered handles. thise i recognize easy becasue i collect them.they are cheapies but i love them.
the pearl looking knives to the left would be awesome if NYco hammers or something but my guess is german. maybe merrimac cutlery.

the master barlow in the pic by itself is a colonial as well. saw cut delrin handles..info!

the jigged metal one{thats what that material is called..since this is an info hunt is an easy opener imperial.it might have the hammer stamp it might be old enough to have the actual IKco stamp.

onthe right side top pic going down would be Kamp King on shield so possibly ireland imperial stamp -then a china knife, then third knife will just be stamped USA,4th knife is definetly a colonial. but it mght also be stamped prov.cut.co.

back to the left side going down under the jigged metal knife the Jack Master knife will be a hammer brand stamp or imperial.the little yellow knife to the right will also just be stamped usa but maybe colonial stamp but i would say almost definetly USA stamp. most USA stampings were made by colonial anyway.remember you said INFO. USA stamped knives norally are colonial made. i mean when the only stamp is USA. to the right of that the broken trapper my guess is camillus.
the big knife with the orange sticker looks china or even a big clunky pakistan knife. directly under that would be a hammer brand camper knife. oh and jumping around the knife under the tl-29{which by the way for info sake is called a linesmans knife.also called an electricians.remember you said information is part of the game. but below the tl-29 knife - broke might alos be a sabre. my favorite looking one im hoping is a bone handled NYco knife,the knife directly above the little silver fancy.it might be a winchester as well!!the silver fancy is german or english. christmas celluloid knife is probably IKco stamped. making it an imperial.

to the left of the jack master is also a colonial or usa stamped knife. below christmas celluloid is gonna have a usa stamp as well.

finally the small lockback near the bottom under broken trapper looks almost silver knightish a little but could be schrade.to big i guess to be a silver knight.
and the lockback at the top with the serrated top of blade looks alot like a lot of the knives coming out of china.if i were to guess an american maker it would be and this is becasue of recent reading but maybe a kabar.kabar is the next family of knives im starting to collect.

that big clunker with the ornage sticker im just dying to know what that is. if its american im happy for ya but looks so pakistan.



anyway at least half the knives are colonials,imperials,hammers,IKCO stamps etc etc.

the all metal stockman has me srumped because i know i handled that exact knife before and cant remeber what it is. it might ne a sword brand. which is a camillus.

once again mostly just guesses. my guess on what you paid for the lot not including shipping is about 57-62$.
i also would be suprised if their is no china in their.

the all metal one not sure at all but my guess would be usa.

i know 100% the melon tester will have a model number 8 on it and is a sabre.
i just wanted to put in one edit-the master barlow is definetly 100% a colonial sawcut delrin if not delrin then colonails other choice of just a hunk of cheap plastic lined to look like sawcut delrin..the colonials ..most of them anyway will also on the stamp say providence ri or something to that effect. some just sat colonail pat.pend. some say colonail stainless.

remember contest is about info so im giving as much as possible.

OH THE TL-29 might be stamped CAMCO but most likely camillus.

1 or 2 may just say prov.cut.co on tang as well.

an exact model number might be good for a win!

chris you should be recognized for making it a little more fun by throwing some knive sto the winner.

anyway simply put on an individual basis. knives with the handles busted. parts knives 5$ tops.{remember im not going book,im going online pricing,where the knives came from.} any of the imps,hammers,colonials anywhere from 5-20$ like the one with the city scene.even though its still a shell handle some folks may pay 10$ for that vs a plain white shelled.for 3$.
kust usa marked knives2-5$ depending if their is an add on it etc etc.

the pearl if its real pearl and german 30$ if its not broke at all. up to 40$ possibly depending on maker.

the big orange sticker knife 10--20$ the little what looks like a knightor schrade lockbac. 20-30$ in really good condition.

teh campers camilllus 10-20$ hammer camper and kamp king if thats what it is 5-15$ depending how clean the blades are. the tl-29 since i can see some handle curling it looks like 10$ max. if it didnt have tl-29 printed on it. it might go for 5$ .if it is a camillus like i think it would also of course depend on how many lines 3 or 4. a 4 line camillus tl-29 in very nice condition i woould go 15-20$shipped for.

the all meatal stockman that i think may be a sword brand knife 10-15$

the jack master blade that can vary so much id have to see it. if it has even just its full snap and no cracks in shell.20$ if it was perfect 40$ but i have seen real,mint jackmasters go for as low as 5$ to as high as 100$ thats one that could throw off the whole value of the pile in a good way!

the top lockback 10-20$ the nice large brown bone handled knife bottom left looks like NYco i said or maybe a remy or winchester. that one is another i would really have to see. from that pic. it looks like a nice 30-60$ knife.

anyway im tired and have definetly written enough. but really with knives im realizing everyday how little i realy know.

like i said my guess spent 56-62$ worth maybe 100-125$ but as high as 15-175$ once again depending on a few in the pile. the prices i listed were if you were to relist them seperatley.

In the second pic there is a Schrade Cut Co Barlow on the top.
To the left is an Imperial jack.
The middle one on the left is an Imperial shell handle & probably has Imperial blades in it, though I have seen some with Ulster blades in them.
The bottom Barlow with the white handles is a Colonial.

Well the winner is Muskrat Man close Second is Peter Force great info pete. MM nailed 3 of the more interesting and expensive knives I felt both of you did the blanket IMPERIAL guess also which really dosent count much. I must say I did well on getting the top KABAR Lock Back which no one got. pm me your address MM and I'm sorry no prize for second place. Im on a tight pre baby budget. Being able to name knives via pictures I feel is very important, I hope this helps even for those that felt they maybe didn't know the ansewers.

Hey, It is real important to be able to judge a knife to the best of your ability from even the poorest pictures, get some great deals that way, but once in a while if you ain't careful you'll get burnt, (that can happen with good pics if you're not paying attention or get too excited and jump the gun- believe me, I know )

that unknown cell looks like a shapleighs diamond edge, judging solely from the remanants of the tang stamp.

I got these at auction for a very nice price. For current values, I like to use Ebay. I find Ebays good, except for some of the higher end German knives which will sell for 20-60 bucks. German knives I guess are just not as well known or collected? I've seen Bruckman Pearl knives go for $65 these knives are IMO in the $200 range easy. Anything CASE, Buck, schrade, KA BAR, GEC gets top dollar on Ebay IMO your much better off buying from a dealer or AAPK stores.
