This one has to pretty old and obscure, at least in my world and in any of my books. It's a Danks & Leggett, Sheffield, (without the England).____Dave

I like the blade stamp.
Tweedale has a listing for Danks & Leggett Ltd. According to his information they were mainly a manufacturer of table cutlery, were founded in 1930 and lasted until 1950.

Through the last 45 years I have kinda hooked on Jack Knife Ben knives from Union Stock Yards Chicago. A lot of his early knives were contracted by Napanoch, Winchester, Robeson and Schrade. The only picture of a rooster nutter is on page 37 in Sargents 2nd edition in the Case Tested section. I have a lot stamped with the Jack Knife Ben, some with Utica, Callenge, and Hubbard Spencer Bartlett and evening one with Cattaraugus. Any ideas if these were all made by one company?

Here is a mark you don't see much of, H & JW King. I've had 4 of these this is the latest, small 3" closed ivory whittler. Second picture shows the knife in an old 1890 catalog from Francis Witte hardware. I'd try and buy all of these I can find!

Levin Bros was a wholesaler in Terre Haute.
They sold cutlery, jewelry, sporting goods, bedding, clothing, toys, carnival goods, appliances, luggage etc.
In business 1886-1967.
Also a picture of their last location.
They did not manufacture knives. This one may have been made by Wabash Cutlery, but I have no proof of that.

The picture is not in the best shape, but the rest of the knife is really nice.

First time posting. Not sure of the format.

I have the attached knife that I have not been able to identify.

Markings show Made in USA

The First letter of the name appears to be the letter "P" At the end there appears to be the letter "Y" and then CO

3 1/4" closed 7 1/8" tip to tip when open.

Solid little knife. Has a factory cut out to open the small blade which is not something I have not seen on many pocket knives.

Any suggestions on Maker or age???

I do have more pictures if it would help.
