If you’re keeping up with the proposals to start up this year’s season, it’s gonna happen. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/289 ... hare=otheredge213 wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 8:04 pmInteresting article.zzyzzogeton wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 6:08 pm Here's one of those "What ifs?" to speculate on -

Whether for just this year remains to be seen. Unfortunately it’s inevitable. Follow the money.

Great quote from Oscar Gamble. He said a good day against Nolan Ryan was 0-for4 and not getting hit in the head!

Awesome vid, I forwarded it to my Dodger's bud. I love me some C.C.R. and John Fogerty solo tunes.

What the heck, sacrifice them both if it will help. They’re both expendable.

Well finally, it’s on! https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-announces- ... 2998255388
https://www.mlb.com/news/faq-for-2020-b ... 2998255388
And as predicted the DH will be used in both leagues.
The MLB announcement talked at length about how the players will be tested and guidelines with which they will have to comply. But I’ve seen nothing yet about what will be required of fans attending games, or even if that will be allowed.
And nothing about either the damnYankees or the Lastros being sacrificed.

No fans in the stands.

Looks like lefty closers are getting screwed too, if there's extra innings.

Re: Are There Any BASEBALL Fans On The Forum?
Today is Bobby Bonilla Day, that is the day when he gets his $1.19 million payment from the Mets. This will continue on July 1 until 2036. He is 57 years old, has not played since 2001, and not for the Mets since 1999. Truly a bizarre story and a good example of why sports team owners are the most brain dead business people alive. No wonder a hot dog and a beer are so spendy at MLB parks.
