Very nice, both the gift and the reason. The 307 is the large stockman akin to the Case 75, no? I have none in my herd as of yet... ::disgust::

Thank you very much. Yes the 307 is the same 4.25 inches as the case 75 pattern. A very heavy duty knife. If I could only own one knife the 307 would be it.

::hmm:: Well, I ordered a Robi Klaas with a Crown Shield (first picture).
But I recieved a Robi Klaas with a Kissing Crane Shield. ::shrug:: (other pictures)
Oh well, size & color are the same, F&F looks good also, so I'll just keep it without complaining. ::tu:: :D
::hmm:: Nothing wrong with having a different Shield than I originally planed on as long as the overall quality of the knife is good. ::hmm:: And..., it's a Shield that I don't have yet. ::hmm::
I guess I'm Happy with it. ::shrug:: ::dang::

This morning I retrieved this knife and box from the post office. The pocket knife is a CAMILLUS 14 with 2 blades. It is in NEAR MINT condition and required no cleaning. The box is for a CAMILLUS 165 and it has the steel sharpening rod. It has a tiny tape repair on one corner, but still looks pretty good. I took some pictures and here is the knife and the box.

Very nice Tom. I like those two. Those small Bokers can be really hard to open, they usually have some very tight springs.

I got this GEC Northfield in today. I wasn’t going to order one of these 23 Pioneer trappers, I don’t like trappers, but forgot I had one on early reserve at CK. I’m glad I did. This one would be the exception on the trappers. It’s a stout, heavy and well made knife. Plus it just looks fabulous. I am very impressed w/ the run up on this too, it’s pretty tight for a US made knife. You sure wouldn’t forget this one is in your pocket.
The pull is about a 6 or 7 on this, so it’s a good bit harder to open than most GEC’s, but these Pioneer trappers are known for this. It’s also got a loud snap.

Is it blued or is that a trick of the light? Really good looking knife.
