FLEA MARKET " ole bone" stock man

found this a the local flea market.i cant go past a bone, brass liners , carbon steel blades, in any condition.
maybe i should have passed this one bye.?

But i was surprised, that all blades shut with snap ,no wobble.
so i set to work on it. gave it a good clean,re shaped the blades,patched the missing bone.
it will ride shot gun in my 1980's, restored mercede's as a EDC for a while. then go in my ,ole bones, box of past saviours.
its stamped .premium stock knife , soligen ,germany. bone covers ,pinned shield,brass liners ,carbon blades.
any ideas on maker?

The knife could be a Olsen Germany.They had Premium Stock Knife stamped in the main blade.

"Premium Stock Knife" deeply stamped into the clip blade is seen on knives made by a number of different Solingen knife manufacturers. I think these were made after WW II but there could be some from earlier as well.
If you found another knife with the exact same font & size and depth of stamping that is marked as to manufacturer, then yours might be by the same manufacturer. However even this would not be actual proof as there were many Solingen manufacturers that made knife parts including blades and sold them to the knife manufacturers.

Roland is correct about the deep stamped premium stock knife being on meant different German stockman.It is a German knife.

I don't know as to the manufacturer, but I do think that you did a great job on the restoral! I have bought knives before just because I felt sorry for them!

I used 2 part polyester resin . filler. it sets quick , and is easy to sand.i have used it on other knives and it seems to hold up well.

This what i use. i get in in my local auto parts store.seems to work well.
