Handles are gorgeous on that one! I have a similar pattern in wood, but the pen blade is broken off. At least it didn't cost me anything.

Usually, I sit here wondering why I end up thinking it over until its sold to someone else, or simply missing all the good Spyderco deals found here. This morning, I found Scott had an older Spyderco Harpy for $55 shipped. I recently lost my Ladybug Salt Hawkbill (about half the size!), and figured this would be a good interim (as I kinda know where it is; somewhere here in my bedroom) replacement, and upgrade at the same time. The stainless handles will make it quite a bit heavier than the FRN of most Spydercos, and they're slick, but they're somewhat tougher. And it has a shackle key. I use those for basically any kind of rigging on the farm.

Given its little brother already cuts stuff a Buck 110 struggles with, I am very curious as to the cutting power of this knife. I know my Rescue 2 (a Byrd) packs the most cutting power of any knife I own.

I asked the seller (after I bought it) if the handles are of wood or synthetic. He said they are synthetic. I wish he would have said wood but oh well, it still looks nice. I just prefer scales of natural materials. :D

I just bought these two knives, one for best offer. Both are ULSTER 50D, 2 blade, "Deer Head" pocket knives. Both will take up residency at the zoo. Both look like they are in good condition. Both will get inspected upon my receiving them and if needed, cleaned. I will take pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s). Here they are, one knife is the first 3 pictures and the other, the last 2 pictures. These are not my pictures.

I just bought this knife. It's an ALLEN CUTLERY CO. - NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), single blade pocket knife. When it arrives, I'll clean it if it needs to be cleaned. It looks like it needs cleaning. Those of you who may be unfamiliar with this particular cutlery company, the knowledge you seek is here:viewtopic.php?f=35&t=7445
Here is the knife.

It was PROCESSED THROUGH USPS FACILITY NASHVILLE, TN 37227 @ 0135 this morning so it's possible it could be here tomorrow. Not probable but possible.

A sudden thought: Are y'all sick up and fed with the Mini-Trappers? "Oh crap. There's another post by JerryD. It's probably another Mini-Trapper. Sigh! Can't hardly see him for the rut he's in."

If Purple is her color, they have a Mini-Trapper there that's on sale that just might tickle her fancy AND suit Grandpa's pocketbook.
