Small Case knife. Trapper, Peanut or Tadpole?

Post by TPK »

Theres a small Case knife for sale on the German eBay. Originally the seller was asking €57. They sent me an offer now that I could have it for €45. That's approximately $50. Unfortunatly there is little description & only one picture. It's supposedly 12cm long opened. Meaning it's a little over 6 cm closed or about 2 1/2 -3 inches. Only thing I can see from Case ist a C with an A inside it. Meaning pre 1945? ::shrug::

I have sent the seller a question if there is 6229 1/2 stamped on one of the blades. Would anyone like to take a guess what knife this is. I don't really have the money for it at all. ::facepalm:: But if it really was a Tadpole, I might beg my wife to let me get it. :mrgreen: Maybe I'll get lucky. ::pray::

Thanks in advanced, ::handshake::
Tom

Ok, it's a Peanut. Seller wrote he can see 6220 & under that maybe 55. My Guess is it's 6220 over SS. Cool knife but I'll pass for $50 beings I'm broke anyways. :wink:

Thanks anyways guys! ::handshake::

Tom, It is a 6220 Peanut, the date looks to be 2001, best I can tell and it appears to have Delrin handles.
You can probably find a new one for less than $40. ::shrug::

Thanks for the Info Philip. ::tu:: It's supposedly unused. I made him an offer on my way out the door this morning. €25. I just checked, & he accepted my offer. ::shrug:: ::groove:: ::ds:: Can't hardly believe it! ::woot:: Now I just have to break the wonderful news to Silvia. ::doh:: LOL! :lol:

That would be awesome if it really is a 2001 because that's the year I'm still missing in my "Case Family Collection". ::groove:: ::ds::

I was gonna EDC it but if it's a 2001 it will complete the set of five birthyears I've been working on. I'm so hoping your right with that educated guess. That would be GREAT!!! ::super_happy:: ::groove::
