A nice one QuickSteel.
Those will last a lifetime. I gave a friend of mine one in '96. He still carries it as his EDC.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
1980s? Victorinox Pioneer. I found an older 1970s? example my great-Granddad bought new and never carried as a kid, and I did carry it some myself (nothing carries better than these); but I was always afraid of losing it, or getting it broken.
Bought this one so I wouldn't be afraid to carry it. I sent it off, hoping Victorinox would repair the broken awl, but instead (as they only fix the knife when you mark it as sentimental), they replaced the whole knife and sent it back with this one. I typically carry that silver one, but I like looks of this one MUCH better. The "Old Cross" knives are asthetically pleasing.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Cool knife and cool story. Always good to have something from your grandparents that help hold those fond memories. Congrats on getting your other knife replaced.cody6268 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2020 12:52 am 1980s? Victorinox Pioneer. Hope it happens for you Tom, your always welcome. I sure like that tractor up Barlow than bones showed a picture of. I'm wondering if that was a series, the big jack I've got was the only one I'd seen.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Very nice! I have the two-bladed variant. Given these, which seem to be sold a lot as factory leftovers as of late, are the same cost as the new Bear and Son made Queen Mini Trappers; I'd choose these any day. At 3 7/8, it's a bit better size than the smaller Mini Trapper Case makes, while being under the "too big" size of the full Trapper.Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2020 4:07 pm Since I got it out for a photo in another thread, I guess I'll give it some pocket time today. Wonderful knife Doc. I especially love the coloring on that bone, and the the blade lock (that's something i don't see very often).Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2020 4:07 pm Since I got it out for a photo in another thread, I guess I'll give it some pocket time today. Moore Maker 5160LLB
