Papa Bones wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2020 2:51 am Well...... not technically in the mail yet, but should be by Monday. I purchased this Utica Kutmaster from one of the sellers on Etsy. The seller says the blades have good snap. So I will see when it arrives. It seems to have good looking scales, the springs look good, and seems some staining and maybe slight pitting on the blade. The seller had several photos posted, here are three.

When it arrives I will do my usual PMCS and lube, then post some pics.

Very nice Smitty! ::tu:: Great looking scales! ::tu:: ::super_happy::
Sure wish there were more used American Brand knives for sale over here. :|
Appreciate it Tom.

New_Windsor_NY wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2020 3:11 pm Last night I bought this knife for best offer. It is a Keen Kutter (K30 per seller), 3 blade, "whittler" pocket knife. One of the more difficult CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones to obtain. I'll check it out when I receive it. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s). Here it is in it's present state.
Very Nice. I love the older KK's. I have a few but newer dates.

New_Windsor_NY wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2020 5:46 pm I just bought this knife. It's an ALLEN CUTLERY CO. - NEWBURGH N.Y. (1917-1925), 2 blade pocket knife. When it arrives, I'll clean it if it needs to be cleaned. It looks like it needs cleaning. Those of you who may be unfamiliar with this particular cutlery company, the knowledge you seek is here:viewtopic.php?f=35&t=7445
Here is the knife.
I've heard of Allen Cuttlery knives, seen very few at some of the Knife Shows in my state.Look forward to seeing it when you've cleaned it up.

Again.....great score. Congrats Skip on finding these three beauts. ::tu::

Another cool addition to the zoo. Yeah, be sure to post some pictures when you get her cleaned up. Sometimes they actually surprise you how well they clean up. ::nod::
Thank you Smitty. ::tu:: I've been pleasantly surprised on a few occasions where the knife cleaned up better than I thought it would. Hopefully, this is another of those occasions. ::shrug::

Thanks Skip, and of course.......I'm really interested in seeing how it looks in person. Not doubting the seller, but I also know sometimes camera angle and lighting plays a lot into the looks of a knife online. But I do love the look of the scales. Have a good weekend buddy!

I just bought this knife for best offer. It should be a 1915-1920, A. KASTOR & BROS - NEW YORK, bone handles, single blade, 1 tool, Coca Cola pocket knife. It has, what I thought was, a bottle opener/cap lifter. Goins says it's a wire cutter. I say it "should be" because the seller made no mention of a "maker" tang stamp. The picture(s) show only the COCA COLA....tang stamp. I hope that when I clean the blades, a KASTOR & BROS tang stamp appears. Then it will go from "should be" to "definitely is." It will get a cleaning when it arrives. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s). Here it is.
Here is what I'm hoping for.

My friends at Archway Cutlery, here on AAPK, featured a 3-Dot Buck 110 Folding Hunter early this morning - I didn't "need" it, but I sure wanted it! Guess it will be coming soon. OH

This is the basic Mucasta with VG10 steel and black micarta handle. I am investigating its potential as an EDC. I suggest clicking on the photo for a better view. Not my photo.

Ryan, it's not Jerry's knife. He just played with the picture that Garry posted.
