This knife was supposed to be a surprise Father's Day present but my stepson spilled the beans. It's a 4" black micarta slipjoint from Nicholl Knives. It's got a turquoise inlay. It's linerless which makes it nice and light. The AEBL steel blade is stone washed and very sharp. It came in a nice hard plastic case. The same as a pistol case. Overall, Tony did an excellent job on this.

Today's mail call produced these three items. The first two items were extras in two different groups of items that I bought. Pictures #1 & #2 are of another 1992 SCHRADE+, single drop point (etched) blade, zytel handles, lockback pocket knife. Schrade was one of the sponsors of the NASCAR #33, SKOAL BANDIT race car. The driver was Harry Gant. Unlike the exact same other one of these that I have, this one hasn't yellowed, this item is in MINT condition. Pictures #3 & #4 are of a 1992 Case, single drop point (etched) blade, zytel handles, lockback pocket knife. Case made a series of pocket knives featuring NASCAR drivers. This knife features Bill Elliott, driver of the #11 race car. It is in MINT condition in the original, plastic container. The last two pictures are of an advertising postcard, showing knives in a display case and on the back, cutlery products offered by Southern Cutlery Co. Inc., in Jacksonville, Florida.

I had a great week for knifers this past week. Racked up a new personal record for # of knives recieved. I'll start off with a beautiful group of 6 knives sent to me from PA. Lotta First time stuff for me & my collection. My first real Scout knife, my first Craftsman, my first Barlow, my first Wostenhom & Son, my first Punch blade, my first Keen Kutter & two nice Imperials. 1 US & 1 Ireland made Imperial.
Thanks a Million Ryan for all these great additions to my collection!!!

Nice Tom! That Cub scout knife was my first. I'm still hoping mine turns up in my parents house. I remember how proud I was carrying it to school. A couple years ago my son almost got suspended because he forgot about his medium stockman in his pocket.

Today, my daily mail run produced these, a Camillus anniversary and U.S.A. bicentennial key ring and another PASTOR ALEMAN (German Shepherd), 2 blade with bottle opener/cap lifter. Another example of the Imperial and Colonial, Mexico connection. I cleaned the blades, but left the handles alone. I didn't want to mess with the graphics. Here they are.

The Post Office was generous today...

Group shot - Buck 120 w/ cocobola handles, Western L66 BSA and WW2 flat pommel Shark, a large Kabar "Brass Beauty", Ontario 498 (1219C2 equivalent), and an 18th century (1700s) plug bayonet to some as yet unidentified muzzle loader.

Here's the Kabar "Brass Beauty". At least that's what I call them. Similar to the Western Black Beauty knives, the Kabar version has brass and black fiber handle washers. Being brass, the knife is defiitely handle heavy, which gives the user a lot of control. No advertising has been found identifying what Kabar called them, although IIRC, our Gunsil has some ads labeling them "Quality Knives".


Here's the plug bayonet with the Ontario 498 for scale


And here's the plug bayonet solo. The blade is 11-1/4 inches long, 15-1/2 inches overall. Handle is approximately ¾ inches in diameter. The only marks are the number “810”stamped into the edge of the guard 2x on 1 side and a small anchor on the other edge.
