Kissing Crane, China made. I do not find it listed in my records. Satisfactorily put together with doubtful steel. The multi-colored covers are synthetic of some kind. Maybe I an find out if it is celluloid or something else. It does not strike me as being celluloid.

I had a few of those China made Kissing Cranes in the past and found that the quality is surprising good on those. Can’t help you on the material. It is a good looking knife.

I appreciate your comments Mike, Mark, and John. Here is another Kissing Crane. As best as I can recall I must have picked these up maybe 5 or 6 years ago.

For some reason the wooden handles on this Imperial are extra smooth/slick which I like. The main blade is a bit of a nail breaker but this is a nice Barlow, everything tight and snappy.

Are you sure those handles are Wood?
In the picture they look plastic.
I have never seen an Imperial with wood.

Now that you raise the issue David, I believe you are correct. And that explains the extra smoothness I commented on. Under magnification no grain shows up. It must indeed be plastic. Thank you for the catch.

Alright I lost my mind when I bid on this one the other day. I tend to do that when I buy one for my own collection. But as you can see this is one drop dead gorgeous barlow. Made by Queen for Robeson, this was a limited production run of just 200. I believe these were ordered by SMKW. Brown saw-cut bone with the engraved bolsters. Just one of the best looking Barlows of all time. Funny when I first starting collecting knives I didn’t really like Barlows. But now they are the most collected pattern in my collection. I have grown to love them. I ooh and awe when I see them now. I had to catch my breath on this one, it’s at the top of my list for best looking Barlows.

David, I paid as much for this as a brand new TC Barlow, not the kind you get on Ebay but from the dealers. Honestly I think it’s as nice as any TC barlow that I have. If I were to sell it, I would be asking for about as much as as TC Barlow brings. Thanks for the compliments.

That is special, and i mean special. If you were to sell it, which i'm sure you won't, but if you did, they would be lined up around the block to buy it. Well done.

That's a sweet one, Mark.

I'm not much of a Barlow guy, I have only one.

Steve, you got one of the better Case Stag Barlows. They don’t often match the stag as well as that one. That’s a beautiful knife.
Thanks for the compliments on the RCC.

It’s kind of amazing how those older Barlows still function like a champ. I wonder if it has something to do with the design?
Two nice looking knives.

Thanks, I think they are such high quality because Bill Howard was in charge at Queen at the time. Yours is a beauty also. Notice that the stag has 2 full blades, I think that is the only one that does and there were only 100 made.
