camillus #72

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I received this knife this morning (finally). It is another CAMILLUS 72, bone handles, 3 blades, short line, "whittler" pocket knife. It is in great condition and required no cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Tommy, I think the first generation "72's" are more difficult to acquire, but not impossible. ::tu::

Nice bone handle knife.
Do you have any early scout knives. They are second generation,no shield no number.
They had Boy Scout Whittler etched on the blade. The etch was very light and it did last very long.
I have two and was lucky to get one with the etch.
