Thanks Floyd! ::handshake:: I've been carrying a Klaas EDC off & on for 8 or 9 months I guess & I'm pretty impressed with it. I use it a lot for every day tasks and it's turned out to be a great worker for me that is still sharp so it holds an edge pretty well in my opinion. When I stumbled across this one in my favorit size & at a fair price this evening I just couldn't resist it's charme. ::doh:: I had to have it. ::doh:: I find these to be good quality knives that I can afford to carry. ::tu:: It's not a Case, but it's a good deal for the money.

LOL! Like I was just telling Floyd, it's not a Case, but for the price of these, I really like the amount of quality they deliver. ::tu::

Like your new icon picture! Looks good Steve! And it's really something to be proud of! ::tu:: :D

When I had said that I didn't have very many Swiss Army knives in my collection,
the old Marine jerryd told me to order more Swiss Army, but specifically the "alox" style.
So I did as I was told and these two should be here Monday or Tuesday.

Excellent choices David. If you haven't already had a/some ALOX SAK(s). you're going to LOVE 'em. Sorry to have to say this but you're sunk now brother.

Nice choices David! ::tu:: :D I've had my eyes on those "alox" style SAK's for a while but haven't made the commitment yet. If they just had em with a toothpick on em..., I'd commit. :D

Instead of a SAK, I have decided ::hmm:: to give Bear & Son Cutlery a chance to convince me of there quality so I bought this small stockman from them. ::shrug:: I like the fact that they are made & stamped USA. (Made in Jacksonville, Alabama) I'll have to wait & see how the overall quality is when I get my hands on it but for it being US made, I thought the price was fair enough to give this brand a shot. ::nod:: If I like it, I would be willing to buy a couple more of them just to support the company. ::tu:: :D

I've been just sittin' here on one cheek and then the other waiting for the first of the month to roll around, bringing with it a new credit card billing cycle. It's here and I ordered the following:
Rough Rider KC016 Moose w/Viet Nam ribbon handles
Buck Spitfire 722RDSSH in Red
Victorinox Evogrip S18 Yellow

I've been eyeballin' all three for a looong time so this should be the week that was. ::ds:: Woo Hoo Baby. Come on postal carrier. Ring my bell.

Nice trio Jerry. I manage my knife habit by a dollar amount per month. I've three knives on my mind, just trying to decide which one (Buck 112 Auto) or which two (vintage Stockman and vintage Cigarjack) I go with - either way will bust that money! OH

Thanks Colonel. My budget is more of a general "suggestion" that ebbs and flows, depending on what's available as the months go by. There is a cap that is very, very seldom exceeded. First, I go with what's not going to be available for very long & save those that the seller has a bunch of for later.

Vintage Stockman & vintage Cigarjack or Buck 112 Auto. Decisions. Decisions. That right there is a toughie. Good luck with that one.

I bought the promo picture card (last 2 pictures) last night. I bought the 5 item lot this morning. Here's the description (seller's) of the lot.

"The listing you are viewing is for Four (4) Vehicle Lot of Vintage NASCAR Die-cast Cars with Racing Truck including: 1/96 Skoal Racing Car Transporter (with Display case and Original box), 1/25 #7 Harry Gant Chevy Lumina, 1/43 #33 Hary Gant Skoal Chevy Lumina, Harry Gant #33 Pen Knife (New On Card) and 1/23 Hary Gant Skoal Chevy Lumina."

Besides the Case pocket knife, which is NOT why I bought the lot, the connection between this lot and pocket knives is that SCHRADE is one of the #33's sponsors. I don't know how long the sponsorship lasted. You can see the OLD TIMER w/knife "decal" on both sides of one of the cars (sorry about the pictures, not mine). You can see it much clearer in the postcard pictures. The promo picture card, 1992 Winston Cup Series, shows Harry Gant posing with his car at the Talladega Track in Alabama. The car in the promo picture card is different from the scale car. Luckily, I'm a NASCAR fan so this was a win-win deal for me.

***** EDIT ****
I just bought this #33, Harry Gant pocket knife. (Pictures #5 & #6) Made by SCHRADE, one of Gant's sponsors.

I bought this last night for best offer. A CAMILLUS 177, in the original box, with steel sharpening rod. It looks like it's in VERY good condition. I'll check it over when I get it. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).
