Praise Report

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Praise Report

Post by orvet »

There are many of you who have prayed for my mom and dad over the past few years, and I sincerely want to thank all of you those prayers because our Lord is faithful and the answers the prayers of the saints!

For those of you will by not familiar with all of the issues my parents have had, there is another thread that goes back two years and throw some of the ups and downs of their help, especially my mother's health. viewtopic.php?f=68&t=56703

But for brevity's sake let me summarize that my mother's had leukemia for several years and she has been on hospice a couple of times. When I started the topic above, in April 2018, my brother and I thought the end was very near from mom. We didn't think that mom would make it to celebrate her 69th wedding anniversary.
Because of God's grace in answering all of your prayers and hundreds of others for my mom, she and dad celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in June 2018. In June 2019 they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary and at the end of 2019 both mom and dad turned 90 years old.

I just got off the phone this evening with mom and dad and mom was feeling pretty rough, she fell on the kitchen and bruised her left thigh and hurt her side so she has an appointment with her chiropractor tomorrow. I prayed with her on the phone and she said she felt more relaxed and that she can sleep now. There have been plenty of tough times for both mom and dad in the last two years but there have been some awesome good times too, for both of them! They love having great grandkids living on their property with them, and they love to have people come visit them!

I wanted to thank all of you for your prayers and your faithfulness to remember my folks before the Lord. They're very happy, even though they they know their time on this earth is drawing to a close. They are still praising the Lord, enjoying life and enjoying one another's company, after 70 years! They both told me how they're looking forward to next month for their 71st wedding anniversary! ::ds::

Often we pray for people and don't ever know the outcome, though I'm sure we will someday in heaven.
So I love it when I can share the answer to a prayer with the people who have been doing so much of the praying.
Please continue to pray that they would enjoy the remainder of their time here on this earth and that they would finish this race well. ::nod::

Thank you my brothers, and may God bless you! ::handshake::

That is a beautiful praise report Dale! Praise our Heavenly Father for his wisdom and his passion to us.
God has especially blessed your parents during their long lives here on this earth. We never want to let our close loved ones go to be with our Lord in Heaven...... but when they do, it is always THEIR gain!
Your parents have been a blessing from God to a lot of lives in this world. That is why God has worked miracles in their lives. If God still has work for us to do here, then our lives will go onward for His glory.
.
Heavenly Father, we all rejoice for the witness that Dale and his parents have been for so many years here on this earth. We know that our earthly bodies will someday wear out and we will exchange this body for a heavenly one. Thank You Father for this promise! Thank you Father for your mercy and grace.
In Jesus name, Amen.

Dale, your Praise Report is filled with some of the mysteries of life. Things only the Father knows, thing we as believers wonder about but are thankful for. Long lives, long marriages, great families and God's mercy.
God bless your parents.

Dale, I read your post and I really don't know how to respond except to say you are blessed of God, your parents are blessed of God. God's love is manifested in so many ways and it sounds like your parents are a testimony of how God can work in our lives. I pray your parents have many more birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate with you and your family.

Alyson and I picked up some smoked ribs and brisket on the way to visit mom and dad yesterday. We had not seen them since the whole pandemic started. They keot asking us to come down and were thrilled that we came! They were so happy and blessed to have visitors and we were blessed to spend a few hours with them.
Their 71st wedding anniversary is less than a month away. They are looking forward to it.

Mom seems to be doing ok, but dad is pretty easily tired.
Your continued prayers on their behalf is appreciated.

I have been blessed by God to have the parents He gave me. We have all been blessed by your prayers!

Thank you for praying brothers.
