Adding my 2¢, Ray is a great guy to do business with.

Came in today's mail. Pacific Rim of course. Half Stops. Some rock to the secondary blade in the half open position. Just not quite in the same league as the Crowing Rooster. Note the pattern etch on the back of the tang says PRC and not China. First time I've seen that.

The color and jigging on that one are very nice Jerry.
I got this Hen and Rooster made during the time that A.G. Russell owned it.

That is fine looking wood and perfectly fit to the bolster. The grain of the wood is flawless.

It is Garry, I couldn’t buy this one fast enough. It has been remarkably well kept. I looked up the wood and it’s Mozambique Ebony, unstained or lightly stained.
Thanks guys for the compliments on the knife.

Jerry & Mark those are some very fine knives! Congrats gentlemen! ::handshake:: :D

I recieved a package from my mom today. ::super_happy:: 4 boxes of PopTarts & a beautifully restored 72 from Jeffinn. My first "72" but surely not my last. You guys should see & feel the Winterbottom bone handles on this thing. ::tu:: And the pins are perfect! Just slightly above the Bone & the pin heads are nicely mushroom shaped. No dings or scratches on them. Just really very nice work. I love it! Thanks Jeff, it's awesome! ::handshake:: ::super_happy::

Very nice, Tom! Great looking work, Jeff!
Tom, I've heard those 72's are addictive, kinda' like the spring Gobbler huntin' that has had some of our friends attention during March and April. :)

Awesome pickups fellers, especially that un' Tom ::nod:: . From what I've seen, Jeffin does some mighty fine work. He's a perfectionist, to say the least.
And where did he get that Winterbottom . Man, that's probably the best looking example of the material, I've seen, in me looong quest of Queens, well done to both parties ::tu::

On first glance I was happy, but on further inspection, this is disappointing. It's very obvious in person, but hard to show in pictures. What are all of these oddities on the blade? The circular one and line on the 2nd picture I assume as some kind of grinding mishap. They almost look like reflections in the picture, but in person are pretty ugly. Some of the spots are corrosion starting, but at the base of the blade in the 3rd pic...I have no idea what that is, and there's another circular oddity. It was fairly soaked in oil, if that's what this is, it would've been during manufacturing and then polished off, ineffectively. Probably not a huge deal, it doesn't affect the function, but still a disappointing "new knife day". LOL
