Papa Bones wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 8:34 pm I picked this off Ebay, and it came in the mail yesterday. I have seen the various knives and utensils, but I wanted to find the complete Boy Scout set with the leather pouch.

Geo Schrade fork & Knife with Boy Scout marked on the Pouch. The Knife and Fork are both 1942, and the Spoon is marked ALLEGHENNY STAINLESS STEEL with a "WB" over W. Both the knife and the fork have great snap and have a half stop.
Papa Bones, that is a VERY nice Boy Scout utensil kit. ::tu:: There are some others posted throughout this topic, but mainly in the beginning. You will also find a very nice assortment of wire handle knives. These bastards are addictive, but in a good way. ::tu::

Here is a VERY good topic/thread regarding Scouting/Camping knives. Check it out. ::tu::

Appreciate it Skip. Thanks for posting the link. Yes, will definitely be keeping an eye out for other variations of the Wire Jacks.

The wirejack thread in Knife Lore is the best treasure chest of info on your new addiction. I reread it like a good book.

I agree 100% with what joeradza said in the previous post. This is a good read also, plus it shows 13 different wire jack tang stamps. ::tu::

Today my trip to the post office produced these two knives. A couple of GEO SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle pocket knives. One has a hawkbill blade, the other has a sheepsfoot blade. Both of these needed a good cleaning. I left the guard/spacer alone on each knife. Good tang stamps on both knives. I took some pictures and here are both knives.

The "before" pictures are on page 19.

I just obtained, for best offer, this GEO SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle pocket knife. It appears to have two tang stamps. When it arrives, I'll clean it if it's necessary. But it looks like it in pretty decent condition. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Love that style blade. Doesn't look like it needs cleaning. Yes, when you receive it, show some close ups.

I thought I would post this here also. I posted it in the "It's in the mail" thread. Girl Scout Mess Kit with Geo Schrade knife and fork. I am interested to see which spoon is with it. Seems there were several different ones used.

This evening I obtained this knife for best offer. Another GEO SCHRADE, single blade, wire handle pocket knife. It looks pretty good, just some minor cosmetic issues. It looks like it has a nice, crisp tang stamp. When it arrives, I'll clean what needs to be cleaned, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).

Very Nice Skip. Love the hawkbill. Both nice additions. The blade shield paint looks great! ::tu::

My package came in today. I made an offer for this set, and seller accepted. A Girl Scout set with the Black Mess kit pouch with knife, fork & spoon, a field kit bag or haversack, with several other items.

The Mess kit Knife and Fork tang stamp has
Stainless Steel
GEO. SCHRADE
PAT. 1-27-42
B PORT CT

The Spoon is marked ALLEGHENY STAINLESS STEEL with WB over W Just a little washing, a little case paste, and oiling. They have good snap, and the green knife blade shield looks really good.
