I've only seen them on yours. The 80 had milled liners but that was a lot later. Never seen bone like that. Lovely knives. ::nod::

Tommy, here's a four line Sword Brand that has the milled liners. Same blade configuration as a first gen 72 but it has a standard nail nick.

Greg, here's a Sears 9511 Sta-Sharp tang stamped "Highcarbon Steel", that's a mate to it. Pre-1941 maybe??????? Handles look like they're the same material only yours aren't cracked. The liners on mine are brass and not milled like yours.

Well that's odd Jerryd. No milled liners on that one. I've got a Wood Carver too somewhere. I'll have to go through the pile now and check that out.

Here's the Wood Carver Jerryd, Black Composite without milled liners. I also have a High Carbon Steel that has the milled liners that looks like a first gen 72.

Absolutely positively FANTASTIC looking knives Greg and Jerry. ::tu::

I just obtained this knife. A Camillus 72, 3 blade, swelled center, short line, 1st generation, "whittler" pocket knife. When I receive it, I'll check it out thoroughly, take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).
