No, they are bone. Since much of my day is spent at my desk a large, rather heavy knife, can be practical. Away from the desk I have lighter carry knives.

I like the pipe. I smoked one (I had 6 or 7) back in the early to mid 80's. It started bothering my wife, so I gave it up. Probably for the best. There are times, especially in the fall, when I miss it.
