This one is on it's way. It was on ebay, and I made the seller an offer. Said blades were scratched and stained. Blade stamp is Robeson Shuredge U.S.A. with Shuredge in Script. Might clean up good.

I keep thinking about what you said on polishing up one of those Case Straight Razors and giving it a try. I've always used a double edge safety razor all my life. My beard hair is just to thick for a smooth shave with a disposable or an electric. So I've always stuck with the safety razor. But I just might give it a shot some time. I guess I need to get the styptic and alum block on standby.

Old school shaving.
What you see is what I use.
Some of the razors are from the 40s and 50s a few from the 60s.
The Gem single edge, far right, 3rd from the bottom may be over 100 years old. Gives a great shave.

Not shown, I have 7 straight razors. I use those on Saturdays when I can take my time and concentrate on what I'm doing.
What do you use?
Take care and God bless,
Steve

Tonight I bought this knife. Another GEO SCHRADE - PAT APD FOR, single blade pocket knife. It has the copper colored, pebble textured handles. These don't pop up that often. When I receive it, I'll check it over. It doesn't look like it's going to need any serious cleaning. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s). The first three pictures below are of the knife I'm getting. The last three pictures are of the one I have.

Filling the gaps with Pacific Rim knives doesn't make good economic sense but I tend to do it anyway. This one has been shipped.
Looks good in the picture.

Haven't seen that scale treatment before, Skip. Makes for a very interesting knife.

I just picked this knife up for best offer. A PROVIDENCE CUTLERY COMPANY, single blade pocket knife with a bottle opener/cap lifter/can opener. Not for any other reason other than to be a companion for the PASTOR ALEMAN, single blade pocket knife with a bottle opener/cap lifter/can opener that I just received (last picture). When it arrives, it will get checked out. Pictures will be taken and posted in the appropriate location(s).

Serious answer to a not so serious question. -- Willy, it's not likely that I will. They don't have the magnetic pull they once did. I still like 'em but not enough to put out the kind of dough they bring these days.
