Today, my morning trip to the post office produced these two knives. Another Geo. Schrade, single blade, wire handle pocket knife. It needed a cleaning, I did what I could. I also received another Schrade 863 (SCHRADE WALDEN), CRAFTSMAN, 3 blade, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. It needed a very minor amount of cleaning. I took pictures, here they are. Sorry about the pictures being blurry, my camera is in failing health.

This is a 5" Brown Bone Whittler made in 1999 by Bulldog. I have the same knife in horn and MOP. Like these, today's arrival has been made with wonderful precision: blade alignment, runup, half stops, F&F, lots of walk and talk. Manufactuured knives of this quality are hard to come by.

Just got in the mail from Scott (Triple F) this nice Case 2 dot Sharks Tooth along with a few things he added to the deal. The little pipe tool is going in my pocket and the knife will go to work with me for a while also. ____Dave

Dave, those Shark Tooth knives are one of my favorites. Such a beefy and solid knife. The lock up on those Shark Tooth’s is impressive.

Very nice. I been thinking about getting one of those. I've got a Hammerhead and a Mako. Would just add to the family.

I don't know anything about "Roper" but it caught my eye and it's carbon steel, so I figured why not for $20? It scratches the itch cheaply.
The main blade is a little off center, but not scraping. Couldn't be much closer though. Otherwise I like it. I'd compare to Rough Ryder, as expected at the price, but the steel makes it a little different. Action isn't bad, but half-stops are "non-committal". Some oil may help it. The handle is pretty nice.
"genuine stag and wood handles, 1065 carbon steel blades"
Enough to get my attention.

First noticed on ebay, but found it cheaper on amazon. Took a few days to ship, due to current events.

I think A.G Russell offered Roper knives a few years ago. He must have thought highly of the quality of those.
