Geocash, thank you!
It’s a beast all things considered, but it’s still a joy to carry.

Jdub, much appreciated!
It’s hard to go wrong with stag for me, but this one in particular is easy to love.

TPK, thank you for the welcome, it’s good to be here.

Carrying a Buck 307. I got it in a trade and it's in rough condition. Chewed up bolsters and scales and blade play side to side with a couple spots the edge is bent slightly. Not what I was thinking I was getting, but I guess it's going to be my working knife. Some day I will find one in better condition. Or get brave and try to recondition it with some homemade scales and try to eliminate some of the blade play if possible.

Thank you geocash,
A little tight getting the the main clip blade as the smaller spear hides the nail nick.
I can push down on the spear a bit (it will push the spring down) and get to the clip, but I've found it easier to open the spear, pull up the clip, then close the spear.
Take care and God bless,

I find that to be irritating especially on a nice knife. I’ve been known to file the kick on a pen blade to get to the nick on the master. I’m not recommending that you screw it up but I’ve gotten by with it more than once.

Steve,
I have the same knife ::tu::
I also had the same issue with the hidden nail nick. I took a Dremel tool and ground the lower flat on the smaller blade. Not much just a small amount. It will lower the small blade so you can use the nail nick. Don't do too much or you will not be able to get to the nail nick on the small blade.

Thanks guys. Been thinking about filing down the kick on the pen blade. I don't have a dremel, I'd have to look to see if I have a small file.
Even then, I'm hesitant. Will probably leave it as is.

At 3 1/4 " this Imperial Barlow is an easy carry but I prefer larger Barlows.

An alternative to filing the kick of the small blade would be to cut a piece of card stock and place it in the blade well under the kick of the *large* blade .....

Thanks Chris.
A great idea that worked on one of my other knives.
I tried it on this one, but to get the blade high enough for access to the nail nick, the tip of the blade pokes up too much for my liking.
