Worst grinds you've ever seen
I saw this one this morning on eBay and it just makes me scratch my head and
. I guess some people just don't value nice knives like we do and take the time to learn to care for a knife properly. To them it's just a tool & they simply could care less about them. If anybody has any pics or stories of similar unbelievably poorly sharpened knives ... it might take some of the boredom away today --->

Looks like they took it to a coarse grinding wheel. Even if it's just a tool...I'd say they screwed it up.

I have always attributed this to people who think that an electric grinder with a 36 grit wheel is just like magical! All you have to do is touch your fine blade to that 36 grit and you will have a razor sharp blade that will be perfect. More like "King Lazy". A few of mine.

The Camillus stockman that I pictured above is just as bad on the other side. I paid a buck for it at the flea market for a parts knife. After I cleaned it up and sharpened it, I just decided it would be a "good nuff" EDC knife. It just amazes me how these grinder marks on knives like this are way up in the middle or top of the blade far from the cutting edge.

I can almost see how this story played out.
Worker: "Man.....my knife is dull! It needs sharpening."
Co-worker: (Holding Angle Grinder) Here, let me show you how it's done."

Are they trying to reduce the weight of the knife?OLDE CUTLER wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 6:26 pm It just amazes me how these grinder marks on knives like this are way up in the middle or top of the blade far from the cutting edge.
John, that's a real shame.
